Rebecca (bd200789) I won't list any books because I know I won't stick to it. I'll just post as I go.

Sophia (sophiarose) Woohoo! Looking good!

Rebecca (bd200789) I'm addicted. I just got 51 used books at the thrift store. I need an intervention! lol, but I love it.

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) No way, I'm not one of those who complains about taking advantage of sales. You do not need an intervention on a great sale. I just came home from one too!!!! Two things on my list that I have needed, for only 50c!!!! You will only get applause from me, Rebecca dear. Look how happy we are about it, hahaha! The good Lord knows you read your way through them. :) Carolyn

That sounds like the kind of haul I bring home every Fall from our Red Cross Book Sale. There's no shame in loving and giving homes to those used books!

Rebecca (bd200789) At a quarter apiece, I had to buy them, right? I spent less than $12, so I really saved money:)

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) That's even less than my 50c deal. No dear Rebecca, there has been far too much nonsense about referring to new acquisitions as 'bad'. Chide ourselves for not reading ENOUGH, sure but not the joy of finding what we've been looking for, or new discoveries at a deal! :-) I've even found wonderful children's stories free, of stuff a stores didn't expect to sell.

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) What, no reply to when I popped in? I'm finding it very rare for others to visit our threads at all, you know. ;)

message 29: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (bd200789) I meant to reply to your earlier post. I didn't mean to ignore you. I'm always finding new-to me books I want to read, and then a lot of them get put aside when I find something else to read. At least, I'll never run out of books, right?

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) Deals are a must. We intend to have the books that attract us anyway. We can have them all if we save the dough. :) Carolyn [ "Ethereal" | "My Kind Of Mystery" | "Gentle Spectrums" ] http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2014/02...

Rebecca (bd200789) There are two thrift stores nearby, and they both have books for a quarter. Every time I go there, I get more. I just bought nine yesterday, so I'm not really keeping up with my Mount TBR challenge. I haven't been reading much of anything lately, so I was happy to read two books that I just got yesterday, as well as finishing one I've been working on for a few days.

Rebecca (bd200789) I've completed this, but have been really bad about updating. I'll try to update more often next year.

Jessika (jessika_56) Good job!

Rebecca (bd200789) Thank you. I can't wait to start over in January.
