Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I'm reading a mystery, one I'm really enjoying, but it is taking me forever to get through because of this stupid cold:

I have that one, I'll look for your review! "

It will probably be a 4½, Judy, unless the author blows who the killer is here at the end.

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 1416 comments I'm in on And Then She Fell (The Cynster Sisters Duo #1) by Stephanie Laurens too, and still slugging through Riders of the Purple Sage by Zane Grey , I'm slackin on it so bad... It's not bad, but I keep distracting myself with the computer, and PlayStation, and Kindle... and TV... lol.

AAwwww LK !You need some soup made with love to make you better or my grandmother's miracle cold remedy!

message 9: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I've been in a sexy contemporary mood so far I've read this year:
Making Him Sweat (Harlequin Blaze #740) by Meg Maguire - 3 stars, not as sexy as I hoped and the plot was too much about her heroine opening up a business
The Theory of Attraction (Science of Temptation, #1) by Delphine Dryden - 3.5 to 4 stars. Very sexy BDSM and good for beginners (the author explained everything in detail.)

Now I have two books I feel like reading and now I need to decide which one to pick: Off the Edge (The Associates, #2) by Carolyn Crane Her Best Friend by Sarah Mayberry

Hope your feeling better soon Lisa Kay! Sometimes a cozy mystery is just the thing when you don't feel well.

For my reading I just finished Raven Cursed (Jane Yellowrock, #4) by Faith Hunter . I like the series but this wasn't my favorite one.

I started Silent in the Grave (Lady Julia, #1) by Deanna Raybourn today. I've been meaning to get to this one forever.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Very true about the cozies, Karen F - and thanks for the well wishes.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Love Agatha, Carolyn. LOL! I've been bad about reading that series in order - and I don't think I've read that one.

message 16: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I have been reading them in order and she's so great and cranky. In the first book when she entered the quiche contest with a store bought quiche, it was so funny how she had no qualms.

message 17: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Yes, I read that one.

message 18: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Yeah, I sick of this stupid cough. I went to bed early, but I can't sleep because of it. I can't find any cough drops, either. I'd have to have to make a late night run to the drug store. (Man-oh-man! Now I'm just whining. So annoying. LOL!)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I zipped though a couple of fast reads, just to get a yearly challenge finished in time (needed the years 2004 and 2011) and found a couple of surprising four star reads in the Silhouette Desire line:

Storm of Seduction by Cindy Gerard and The Boss's Baby Affair by Tessa Radley

I've been sick too for the past few days mostly dealing with the sinuses, but I'm starting to get better. Now, another family member of mine is sick and I wonder if I gave them it.

Sorry you've been ill, Amy. Sucks if you gave it to them. I got it from someone who came over on Christmas Eve. I keep thinking I've about licked it, then it comes raging back. Ugh. So sick of coughing. But that is keeping it out of my lungs and just in my sinuses, to look at the bright side.

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 361 comments JAK's new book came out today, and from the reviews it's a throwback to her earlier stand alone RS books. As soon as I get myself out to the bookstore, I'll be buying it. Krentz is the only author I buy in hardback anymore.

message 50: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Goodness, I used to read a ton of JAK.
