Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) As the year is rapidly drawing to a close, it's time to begin our annual contemplation of our "word" for the new year, a word that hopefully encompasses our intentions & goals for the new year.

When you're ready, share yours here with us.

MissJessie Survive!!

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Focus may be my word for 2014, but I haven't sat down to journal on it yet (which I usually so after Christmas through New Years Eve if need be) so I'll be back once I do.

Petra X (petra-x) Focus should be word for life. And "shhh" (I talk too much).

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) There are no shoulds, rights or wrongs with this annual exercise. It's different for everyone. I will say I'm surprised by the quick replies, it usually takes a little while for comments to appear in the thread. But, I see that I may not have done this before here in OGSG as I have with my other groups, or it's been quite a while. I didn't check the archives first. Different points in life require different things, at least that's the case with me anyhow. And given my health, I find it good to reevaluate my goals often to help me be as productive as I can be towards my main goal of a given year. Sometimes that main goal changes as the year progresses, sometimes it doesn't. Every year is different.

MissJessie Mine may have been quick, but it's what I meant :) Survive is what I hope for this year.

Apologies if that was misunderstood! I didn't mean to doubt the sincerity behind anyone's words (which I see by the way I worded it, that could have been the impression). But I am surprised at the quick responses, that's usually not the case when I do this topic! And I can relate in many ways to your word. I'm hoping we can do a better job of it in 2014 on many levels!

MissJessie No apology necessary !!!!! Sorry it came out that way.

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) And no apologies necessary here either :-) It's often difficult to read intention behind printed words in these threads and I wanted to be sure I didn't come across in a way I didn't mean!
