If you're looking to cram in a few books to meet your 2013 challenge... well, my books are very short and quick to read - and they're on offer at the mo: 99p/99c.
The Mayfly Man is about a boy who grows from birth to old age in the space of a single day.
The King Thing is about a young king who doesn't want to be crowned.
Mr. Mortimer is an unconventional love story with a mystery at its heart.
But I can't just recommend my own books. If you want a speedy read to finish your challenge, I heartily recommend Double Indemnity by James M. Cain - a crime novel which has possibly the creepiest final chapter of any I've ever read! Also, anything by Roald Dahl is quick to read and usually so captivating, you'll want to finish it in one go.
Good luck in finishing your challenge - and have a wonderful Christmas.
(Moderators, I don't know if I'm meant to publicise my own books on here, so please feel free to delete this post if that's the case.)
