Love in the Time of Global Warming discussion

I noticed there were no discussions about this book, just thought I'd start one since Block's writing style and characters are pretty unique. What did you think? Who was your favorite character?

I like Block's writing in general & find her prose concise & lyrical. On the other hand, I do sometimes feel that most major characters in her books are more or less the same in their personalities.
