Hello Antonello! That sounds interesting! I have lots of friends who like that author! I'm currently reading the Divergent series by Veronica Roth but I'm honestly struggling with it. It's not keeping my attention as much as I'd hoped!

Hi Antonello! I need to catch up a little on the Alex Cross series, but I really have been enjoying it. Although I do wonder how many more books Mr. Patterson can crank out on one series alone.

message 7: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Vick I loved Alex Cross books and still miss my old collection.

what am I reading? Well I suffer from literary A.D.D. so my present reading list includes:

•Damned by Chuck Palahniuk
•The Annotated Lolita by Vladimir Nabakov
•The Basic Writings of Nietzsche
•The Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood

April | 45 comments Hello everyone! This group sounds like fun so here I am! I just finished reading Beneath the Shadows by Sara Foster for my RL book club. It was an easy and quick read which was perfect for the busy holiday month. I'm not sure, but I think I will try World War Z An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks next as I am probably the only person on the planet who hasn't read it.

Hi Heather! I'm not a huge short story fan. I think this is the reason I didn't like it. It didn't read like a novel. Instead, each chapter resembled a short story even though they were all connected to a whole. I'd much rather read a novel, connect to some characters, and get lost in the book. That just didn't happen for me with WWZ.

April | 45 comments I'm currently trying to read the Michael Connelly's Mickey Haller series. I read The Lincoln Lawyer (Mickey Haller, #1) by Michael Connelly a couple years ago and developed a mad crush on Mickey Haller. Needless to say, Matthew McConaughey only deepened the level of that crush when I saw the movie. Thanks to Matthew, the Mickey Haller series has even more meaning for me. :) I just finished reading The Brass Verdict (Harry Bosch, #14; Mickey Haller, #2) by Michael Connelly The Brass Verdict and will soon begin The Reversal (Harry Bosch, #16; Mickey Haller, #3) by Michael Connelly The Reversal. I like how Connelly uses characters from previous books. It reminds of Stephen King.

Heather (purdyflower14) I just finished Mrs. O'Leary's Cow by Ryan Patrick Sullivan. I recommend this book to everyone! I used to work with the person who wrote this book. It's his first novel! I think he did a wonderful job. You can purchase the book in hardcover and paperback. Unfortunately it is not out as an e-book yet. I'll put two links below in case anyone is interested. Please do not SPAM this. It's just a suggestion...even though I am trying to spread the word since he is a new author. Thanks. :-)
