This is the thread where you can talk about writing. You can give us a synopsis of your story/book/poem, comment on the ideas of other writers, and just chat about anything writing related!

*Note: To post excerpts of your writing, please create a separate thread entitled "[Your Name Here]'s Writing"

Suzanne Goldsmith (suzannegoldsmith) | 3 comments I was inspired by Kate DiCamillo's dual honors last month (named Ambassador for Children's Literature plus Newbery!) to write a blog post about what I learned from her books about writing for kids. The blog post is here if anyone is interested in taking a look! (it's also on my Goodreads author page) http://www.suzanne-goldsmith.com/kate...

Suzanne Goldsmith (suzannegoldsmith) | 3 comments While we're talking about it, I just posted again about writing. A little bit more of a rant this time. But maybe someone out there will feel the same. "On NOT writing every day"...http://wp.me/p3o7Kw-7w

J.M. Northup | 2 comments What is the average word count you write in any given day?

I didn't think much about this until I saw the whole NaNoWritMo thing (which is new to me and I wish I had been able to participate in it this year. Oh, well - there's always next year, right?). Seeing this made me think that perhaps my usual 2000+ words at a time wasn't necessarily "normal." What is?

Raven (howlisawesome) Suzanne, I read both of your blog posts and I loved them both. (sorry I'm just reading them now, you posted them 10 months ago lol. I don't always have time to be on Goodreads.) I loved your "rant" about not always having time to write or get things done because life gets in the way because it's true. like you, I am easily distracted but can get a lot done when I am in my flow. I also loved your praise for Because of Winn-Dixie. :-)
