Technically I have 3 boxes of books ready to go for the Friends of the Library in Santa Cruz, but I'm not rereading any of them before they go. :)
Wow, great idea. Last year, i achieved all my goals and then some. First time I did it. I really made a conscious effort. In making them , I try to use wisdom, in other words, be realistic with my limitations, to be ready , not to be pressured by society, and to keep it achievable. Here is my 2014 goals:
1. To read more everyday, and to expand my vocabulary. Study everyday everyday and get out if my ennui of typical type of books I enjoy and focus especially on history and historical fiction. To Read at least one classic that everyone eschews and find the purpose and beauty in it. Also, accept and believe the truth God says about issues I am stalwart in personally in my faith that apply it to my life and believe His celestial word.
2. To give up trashy Hollywood magazines like People etc. and continue to bring a book to the doctors office because they subconsciously effect your morals and self -esteem. (For example, not to care about body image problems Kim kardashian struggles with or judging her and being interested in fantasy lifestyles of people i do not know and invest an interest instead in people who matter.
3. Money- keep a certain amount set aside every month and save. Then throw it in a CD or invest in stock. Another words, not touch it. Act as if you don't know you have it.
4. Weed-Continue to donate my books/ clothes/ anything that I haven't used in a year to the people who need financial assistance or who are less fortunate.
5. Less emailing and more of a commitment to me , sit ups every night, no matter how tired.
6. Make a schedule of everything in my life from cleaning to reading and track it in a date book. To hourly stick to it and try to beat the clock only with mundane tasks. The rest, enjoy and modify things that seek to over whelm you and control your time and learn to use the word , "No".

Of course you can, feel free to move your goal up or down as you want :)
I should be up to date to here. If there are more than one of you with the same name (like Sarah for instance), I've put the number of your first post. If you want something different to distinguish you, let me know!!
Lisa, I'm sorry, I think there's been a bit of confusion, this challenge is for reading books that fit the 'resolutions' in the first post, rather than your actual resolutions (which are great by the way, I still need to come up with mine!).

I'll either donate to my library (they only take donations for books to sell at their FoL sales twice a year, not for their shelves) or I'll do a Book Crossing type of thing and leave a book somewhere with a note on it, stating that it is a free book to whomever would like it.
