Amanda | 5 comments I always love hearing what everyone is reading cause it gives me new ideas for books to read and lots of times introduces me to books I'd never hear of otherwise.
A couple of the books I'm reading right now are The Kingdom Beyond the Waves by Stephen Hunt and Ambient by Womack. Am also almost finished Mainspring by Jay Lake- it's a pretty good book

Hey, did you know that Jay Lake has a new one that just came out? It's called Green. I'm going to get it next time I make a trip to the bookstore. I really adore his works, too. It's a shame what's going on in his life though, I hope he recovers soon!

Ooh, thanks for the link. I hadn't heard of that site before. Does it generally work well for you (I'm just wondering, I know it's a bit OT), have you had any problems with it?

It's an amazing site I get almost all of my books from there and swaptree.com.

Robert Arl (robcsk) | 1 comments Hi... Robert here... I joined this group because I'm always looking for something different to read and have very definite and eclectic tastes in Science Fiction literature. I've been reading SF since the late '60's and find it more difficult to find books I truly enjoy as I start the third chapter of my life... A few of my favorite SF authors are Connie Willis, Neil Gaiman, Fred Pohl (especially his '70 novel, Gateway - my favorite SF novel, etc), Cory Doctorow - just finished his brilliant and scary "little Brother", Joe Haldeman, the short stories of Robert Reed, and so many more, I have been reading primarily on my Kindle 2 in recent months.

stormhawk Doctor Who. Doctor Who for Breakfast, Doctor Who for Lunch, Doctor Who for Dinner and Doctor Who for bloody Tea!

(I have a trove of the Target novelizations of the first seven or so Doctors, and I came up with the somewhat wacky idea of reading them in broadcast order ... I'm into second season of Hartnell currently)
