...and then didn't go very far later on

For me i'd have to say The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins ... I didn't like the first book to begin with. Catching Fire was amazing. And then Mockingjay was an absolute disappointment. Also Wither (The Chemical Garden, #1) by Lauren DeStefano was awesome, and then it seemed to take a downfall in book two (as most trilogies seem to do)

Britt (theinfernaldevice) The mortal instruments. The heroes of Olympus. Don't give me wrong, I love the authors but the books have gone on far too long.

I know what you mean with both of those too. Especially the TMI series. It's just being dragged out for no reason. It could've just stuck to three.

Britt (theinfernaldevice) I been I love Sebastian and everything and his plot, but the series just kind of went nowhere.

Britt (theinfernaldevice) Mean not been*

Lissette (liss4ever) I feel like the Tmi should have been a trilogy like it was originally supposed to be.

Britt (theinfernaldevice) Pretty much, yeah. The recent books are the same plot as before, only slightly different situations.

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Don't read the third....I just couldn't get through it.

another was the Bartimaeus trilogy. Another where I couldn't finish the Third.

With Matched I read book one then barely got 20 pages into book 2

Same with Matched. I mean i really enjoyed the first one, but when i tried reading the second one i just didn't feel like reading it. I have the third book too, but at least i got it for free, i may or may not pick it up again i have no idea

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Free books are always nice. Even if you don't like them it's not like it's a big deal.
