Marnie | 3 comments Well, not having a discussion started as of yet, I figured that I might as well get to know you guys a little better. My favorite Rainbow Rowell book would probably be Eleanor & Park just to start this out. :]

message 2: by Haley (new)

Haley Lewis | 1 comments I adore fangirl because I identify with cath more then most characters I have ever read. Saying that I think Eleanor and Park is more special to me. Their relationship was perfect. I love that its in the 80's and all the comics and music they listened to was awesome.

message 3: by Jacque (new)

Jacque | 2 comments I can't decide whether I like Eleanor & Park or Fangirl more. I am in love with both and I'll admit I've read both 3 times. Rainbow Rowell is gold.

message 4: by Avery (new)

Avery (ofmiceandmean) | 3 comments I love eleanor and park, fangirl just didn't interest me as much.

message 5: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie | 2 comments I read Eleanor & Park first and it was soo good but I feel like I liked Fangirl more because I could relate with Cath a little more. & I am halfway through Attachments so ya

message 6: by Marnie (new)

Marnie | 3 comments I keep reading the summary for Fangirl and I'm worried to start reading it. Maybe I'm ill-cultured, but I have never heard of Simon Snow. I just feel like I won't get into it if it's such a big part of the book.

message 7: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie | 2 comments Marnie, I didn't know what Simon Snow was either, but to be honest I got the Fangirl completely because during the book she reads her fanfics and at the end of each chapter it has a little part of Simon Snow books that relate to the chapter. Read it!!! It is a super great book.

message 8: by Marnie (new)

Marnie | 3 comments I really do need to get off of my Eleanor & Park hangover. Thank you, Stephanie!

message 9: by Jacque (new)

Jacque | 2 comments Before reading fangirl I never even heard of fan fiction. Fangirl is so well written you will love it. It's amazing and perfect.

message 10: by Radha (new)

Radha (radhacelis) | 8 comments Hello!! I just started reading Eleanor & Park, Loving it so far! so heartwarming I read that book with a big goofy smile on my face. So far so good :)

message 11: by Spoon (new)

Spoon O | 2 comments Okay okay, don't hate me, but I haven't read any. I really love the ideas, but I can never get my hands on a copy!!! But honestly, I think I would like fangirl better.

message 12: by Mariela (new)

Mariela | 1 comments I cannot decide! I loved them all but I was crazy for Attachments (it was the first one I read by her) but then I read Eleanor & Park and i totally loved it... If my life depended on it I would have to say Attachments **SPOILER ALERT DO NOT KEEP READING** Just because I could get a glimpse at what Lincoln and Beth were like together as a couple but I ended up needing to know more about what happened next between Eleanor & Park, it's like this one was not finished for me... Very big open ending... Fangirl for me was just OK.

message 13: by Radha (new)

Radha (radhacelis) | 8 comments I just started reading Fangirl, I'm loving it so far! So fun to read! I can't put it down! It's my little escape! :)

Finished Eleanor and Park, very sweet story but the ending is a bit disappointing to me at least, but the entire book is wonderful.

message 14: by Victoria (new)

Victoria (victoria_vogt) Fangirl was definitely my favorite. I love Cath and Levi. And I so desperately want to read the Simon Snow series. :)

message 15: by Magnolia (new)

Magnolia Unpredictable | 1 comments I adore Eleanor and Park. I just finished reading it. I think that their love is so simple and real, and I adore every part of their relationship. I also love how their lives are not so fake - it's not like they are handsome and beautiful and have perfect lives and perfect families. Yes, I do think the end is disappointing, but I adored the book overall.

message 16: by Daylin (new)

Daylin | 1 comments What are the words that Eleanor says to park in the post card?

message 17: by Radha (new)

Radha (radhacelis) | 8 comments Daylin wrote: "What are the words that Eleanor says to park in the post card?"

Who knows really?? it could be "I love you" or "nothing ever ends"
but that's just me. :)

message 18: by Avery (new)

Avery (ofmiceandmean) | 3 comments Or it could be "I hate you" but I'm pretty sure you're meant to infer its I love you

message 19: by Ruka (new)

Ruka (rukayya) | 1 comments Marnie wrote: "...Maybe I'm ill-cultured, but I have never heard of Simon Snow. I just feel like I won't get into it if it's such a big par..."

I think it's a totally made up fandom, Rainbow made it up! As you read the book you get to know the series and the fandom and the fan fiction Cathy writes...I think it's supposed to mimic the Harry Potter books in some way? But idk if that's just me! :/

message 20: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghanlogan) | 5 comments Mod
I met her last night, and she said that Cath's love for Simon & Baz basically symbolizes the love for Harry Potter by teenagers around the globe.

message 21: by MaddyLeeReads (new)

MaddyLeeReads I absolutely love Fangirl and it basically describes my life in a nutshell of Fandoms. I haven't read any of her other books yet but I really want to!

message 22: by MaddyLeeReads (new)

MaddyLeeReads Meghan: It basically is. When I read the chapter when they all went to the bookstores and how Wren said it's not really over, I starting sobbing because Simon and Bad really does represent Harry Potter and I love that series so much. I even notice it throughout the whole book and kept comparing Simon Snow to Harry Potter an I understood Cath so much more and I could relate so much it hurts.

message 23: by MaddyLeeReads (new)

MaddyLeeReads I love Fangirl, but I just like Eleanor and Park. The part that I love about Eleanor and Park was them reading and discussing comic books together. That was awesome.

message 24: by Chrissy (new)

Chrissy | 1 comments Just finished Eleanor and Park and I absolutely loved it!!! Well, actually at first I wasn't very fond of the two main characters but that's one thing I love about books, Character Developement. Couldn't put the book down and finished it in a day (:

message 25: by Kirsty (new)

Kirsty Gardiner (kgno3) | 1 comments I have to say I really do love both Fangirl and Eleanor and Park but Fangirl just tips the scale for me! I have never loved characters so much in a book until Fangirl as I can relate to Cath so much! That being said both books are in my top ten favourite books :)

message 26: by Radha (new)

Radha (radhacelis) | 8 comments I'm reading Attachments and so far so good, I don't think I'll love it as much as I love Fangirl, but I really like Rainbow's style of writing and the way she narrates the story!

message 27: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghanlogan) | 5 comments Mod
I love her young adult novels a bit more than Attachments, but I think it's because I could relate to them a lot more :)

I'M SO EXCITED FOR LANDLINE!

message 28: by kaykay (new)

kaykay (leafykay) I really like E&P (also, yay for it maybe becoming a movie) I like it so much because I'm a lot like Eleanor. I just read Fangirl, it was good, I think people who read and write fanfic would enjoy it a lot more! I loved Reagan!

message 29: by Eve (new)

Eve Talling-Bell (evetalling) | 1 comments ELEANOR AND PARK.

message 30: by Katherine (new)

Katherine (katedazzle40) My favorite Rainbow Rowell book is Fangirl. I felt like I could relate to Cath.

message 31: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghanlogan) | 5 comments Mod
Did anyone else pre-order the Barnes & Noble Eleanor & Park edition?? :)

message 32: by Edilah (new)

Edilah Aragon (edzargn) | 1 comments Eleanor & Park! To be honest I hate and I love it at the same time. I hate it's ending but I love the flow of the story. Heart-breaking! A must read.

message 33: by Abbey (new)

Abbey (asapabbey) My favourite book of Rainbow Rowell is without a doubt Fangirl. I've been reading fan fiction for a long time and then I saw the book somewhere on tumblr and I just said. "I want." So, I went out and bought it and I fell in love. I've read eleanor & park, but I just found that Fangirl was far more relatable. I'm just an awkward nerd.

message 34: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 1 comments My favorite is also Fangirl, I just felt like I could relate a lot better. I have read Eleanor&Park and it was cute and all, but I didn't really like the ending. But I really loved Fangirl, cause I find myself in Cath :)

message 35: by a (new)

a (amandaclark) | 1 comments I just finished reading Eleanor & Park and it was on the top of my list of the best books i've ever read! I'm going to read Fangirl next and I'm so excited(: I hope it's as good as Eleanor & Park

message 36: by Sydney (new)

Sydney Taylor | 1 comments My favorite book was Eleanor and Park for lots of reasons. I love romance books, and I love bittersweet endings, I suppose. I also like it, because the characters were so unique and special.

message 37: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn (pineapplemurder) | 2 comments I loved Attachments, but my favorite is probably Fangirl.

Rachel (Smelleykins) (smelleykins) I've read Eleanor & Park and also Fangirl (rec'd the special UK Collection addition today) and I have to say i prefered Fangirl. I could relate so much to it and i love the whole fanfiction world.

I've got Attachments and Landline to read next. Or least Landline for sure as i'm going to a book signing at the end of the month, so can't wait!

message 39: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (sumosmom) | 1 comments Eleanor and Park. The characters are just so well developed. Any book that moves me to tears, more than once, deserves an award!

message 40: by Kimmie (new)

Kimmie Vrana (kimvrana) | 2 comments Eleanor and Park because it reminded me of high school and made me laugh and cry the most. I adored ALL of her books, so Attachments is a close 2nd (loved the email banter between the gals), then Fangirl (but it had the best last chapter), then Landline.

message 41: by Oli (new)

Oli (bazilthegnome) | 1 comments Mine I think is either a tie between Fangirl or Attachments. However, I haven't read landline yet so I'm excited to see how I like that one.

message 42: by Spoon (new)

Spoon O | 2 comments Mine is probably Fangirl, but I haven't read attachments yet

message 43: by Lemma (new)

Lemma | 1 comments I read Attachments first and loved it. I immediately went to see if the author, Rainbow Rowell, had written any other book. I have now read Fangirl and also love it so much. I have yet to read Eleanor and Park and Landline. I can't wait. I've heard such good things about both of them. So excited.

message 44: by courtney (new)

courtney mai (kkaegyo) | 1 comments Eleanor and Park was really good, I also liked Fangirl. Eleanor and Park was an amazing love story about two outsiders and Fangirl was about a shy girl that slowly becomes confident and falls in love with someone that helps her see a whole new light.

message 45: by Margarida (new)

Margarida Pereira (mylifeline19) | 1 comments I have read Eleanor & Park and FanGirl. I love Eleanor & Park, but my favourite one is FanGirl because I identified myself a lot with Cath and I just want to live in her world

message 46: by Elodie (new)

Elodie | 1 comments My favorite is Fangirl, it was the first book I read from Rainbow Rowell. That book means a lot to me because I can identified myself with Cath so easely. It is such a nice and sweet story. But Attachements is so good too!

message 47: by Cindy Lin (new)

Cindy Lin | 1 comments I love love love LOVE Eleanor and Park! Had to finish it in one sitting and I have got to admit that it had me bawling at times. Those characters..... I even told my fiancè that i might name my daughter Eleanor! Haha. I've read Attachments and love it too ! Gonna read Fangirl soon and is very excited, everyone always talk about how good it is!

message 48: by Astrid (new)

Astrid (Astridmatildaf) | 2 comments Hi everyone! I am also totally in love with Eleanor and park, I usually don't like love stories but that one was just perfect! I couldn't stop reading! I am also a big fan of fan girl of course.
Have anyone read landline? I'm thinking of reading it if it as as good as the other ones.

Natalie Stipetic (Natalie-Stipetic) | 1 comments Tough question, although my favourite has to be Eleanor and Park, I adore the way the layout and structure makes the reader feel and relate to both characters throughout the story, especially towards the ending.
