ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods)
Duration: January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014 (One Year)
For 2014's A-Z Challenge, we are going to use Author Names as the criteria. Your qualifying books must be written by an author whose first OR last name represents each letter of the alphabet.

One book per letter, and one letter per book, please! You can use the same author multiple times as long as they fit the criteria and as long as you use different books by said author. Please name the author and the book, plus the date you finished reading it. You can also share your rating if you'd like. For difficult letters, such as Q and X, if you have a hard time finding authors who fit, post here and ask for help! I'll accommodate you however I am able.

Example:
A - A. S. King - Please Ignore Vera Deitz - 10/1/11 *****
G - Grafton, Sue - W is for Wasted - 9/1/11 *****

Please be sure to make a new post each time you update so I can update the participants list accordingly!

Stephanie (stephanielee) | 7 comments So each one of us will pick our own books to work through the alphabet? If so, I'll do this one too!

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) Yes, we choose our own books and try to match the author names (first or last) with each letter of the alphabet. Of course, you can just read what you want and see where the author lands in the alphabet. That's what I'll do. I'm not that hardcore when it comes to A-Z challenges.

I don't read fast, I just read every second possible :)

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

It's the possible that eludes me :P

Victoria (RedsCat) (redscat) My only obligations are job and cat :) I don't have cable TV - just Netflix and I'm not good at watching movies (terrible attention span). So my only other big distraction is crafts. (And yard sales in the summer.)

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't have kids, pets or a mortgage. I DO have a job and my attention span is not what it once was :P

Victoria (RedsCat) (redscat) My job is all data and math. I think books are the best counter-balance :)

It is a very good book and highly emotive. I found myself yelling at the girl to get out of the situation when she had the chance, but not having been in that situation myself (nor do I want to be) I really can't judge her in her situation. It is a bit depressing and I found myself wanting some good to come out of it. I would recommend adults reading it as it's very explicit.
