Elizabeth (merelyreading) Will you be making any resolutions? If so, would you like to tell everyone what they are?

Mine is to get back into walking at least two miles a day, maybe more. I can listen to audio books whilst walking so no hardship, unless it rains on me!

More walking for me too. I get out with my dog. But it can be sporadic and in the run up to Christmas was often a quick lap of the field rather than a proper yomp. I need some leg and lung fitness for skiing in Feb as well, so fast walking is a good start for that, along with lunges and squats.

Lose a stone, ideally.

Susan (suze0501) | 190 comments More exercise. Less alcohol. Stay off the cigarettes (8 weeks cigarette-free today). Take up my flute again.

Mine are always done incrementally, as I think 1st Jan, when it's always dark, cold and wet, and you're still surrounded by Christmas treats, is possibly the worst time in the year to make big sweeping changes! But mine amount to the usual exercise/eating balancing act, plus doing a lot more for myself once the baby is a bit more independent, as my life has been rather subsumed by kiddies this year, god love 'em.

Congratulations, Susan. The exercise and the endorphins they provide will help you stay off the nicotine kick. I'm speaking from experience.
