We deliberately do not merge author profiles in different languages. Doing so often undoes hours and hours of another librarian's work.

The English version of the name should be listed as the primary author for all editions, and the name in another language can be added as secondary for all editions published under it. That allows editions in different languages to be combined, while still enabling users to search for the author name in either language.

Thanks Rivka. Yes, many author profiles of the same author will create more confusion as well. However I created both the Bangla profiles if I am not wrong, I was trying to add a few books in Bangla editions. Just didn't realize the primary profile needs to be the English one. And cannot edit myself. Well, not many books listed under the second profiles yet. I hope you can correct the mistake and make the English one as primary and the Bangla one as secondary. Thanks again.

I will separate the editions, but are the pages correct. Is each chapter near 800 pages?

I separated the edition and I am currently fixing the pages and adding more edition. My question is:

I can see the pages are increasing exponentially in the chapter books. Does it mean that each chapter contains all previous ones? If so is this edition chapter 10, the whole book as well?

Penguin published it in the UK in 10 separate books each containing one individual chapter.

It was also published in two volumes. And also as a complete novel.

I think I got them all, but I changed the page numbers according to the Penguin site.

I think this author has come up before. If I remember correctly these are pen name, so no need to merge. In anyway as long as it is on the cover it is a valid name.
