So after looking at all of them I have decided to read

I know this is an older series, but I have the first book in the series and reading it will determine whether or not I want to continue with the following books. I think I prefer to read older series. It is usually much easier to get the folowing books in a timely manner, since you are not waiting on the author to write the next one. And - this appears to be an on-going series - since the last one written - #8 - just came in this last December. Gives her time to stay ahead of me - with 7 more already published...LOL!!

That's a great idea, ♥Sandi. I'd never heard of the Raine Stockton Dog Mysteries. As you say, since it's an older series, access to the books should be easy! I love the idea that if I really enjoy the characters, I have eight books to prolong the fun! ☺

This book was so funny, I laughed most of the way through it! The plot was awesome and there were so many twist! I loved the conection between the main character and the dog. It also made me wonder if my dog might actually know what I am talking about!
If you are looking for funny and quick read, this is it!

I was right, The Case of Jack the Nipper by H. L. Stephens was a really fun read! The affection and respect between the animals and their human friends enriched the story immensely! How they all worked together to bring some vile evildoers to justice was very entertaining. I'm looking forward to reading about detective dachshund, Sir Happy and his feline friend and detective-trainee, Mister Marmee, and their further adventures together!

Humor goes a long way in enhancing my enjoyment of a book, too, Christina! Thanks for the heads up! I just added Dial "C" for Chihuahua to my ever-expanding to-read list! I can't wait to see how you feel about it, Candace! ☺

I love that Series.

Jeanie - that is good to know.

My choice was Dial C for Chihuahua by Waverly Curtis. I didn't finish this book. I found it irritating that Pepe was always speaking in Spanish. If I wanted to read a Spanish cozy then I would. Also the protagonist, Geri seemed somewhat dim. When she picked up the gun at the murder scene, I thought to myself " Who would do that?"

I liked that book! Which is odd for me, because I don't normally like books with talking animals....

It Started With Theo
