Fracture Me discussion

Just curious, personally I am Team Warner all the way, but after reading Shatter/Destroy/Unravel/Fracture Me, I can't help but wonder if anyone's still holding out, and if so, why?

Honestly after Fracture Me, I think everyone can see clearly that Warner has the deeper feelings and we can see that if Juliette left Adam he still has his brother while Warner does not have anyone that cares for him. I also think that Warner and Juliette understand each other better and after reading Fracture Me it seemed like Adam was not at the same level of understanding as Warner.

I am sure that even after Unravel Me people still thought that Juliette and Adam were still going to be together in the end (what is the ship name for them anyways?) but after Fracture Me... just go away Adam we'e all mad at you now!

I think that ship went down when everyone read chapter 62! LOL I love Adam but I think Juliette and Warner are more interesting and exciting!

Yeah I agree, my loyalties switched after Destroy Me and then chapter 62 in Unravel Me solidified my Team Warner stance for good. Fracture Me really made me mad at Adam too. I couldn't believe it when he (SPOILER) seemed to not really care about trying to go after her and (SPOILER) even though they don't know she's alive he didn't seem overly upset that she was 'dead'. I mean Kenji was crying and in complete shock and Adam did not give me the emotional response I was looking for from someone who was supposedly in love with her. I think we all know that if Warner thought she was dead it would be a completely different story.

If Warner thought she was dead, I think he would shoot somebody, or maybe himself. But let's not make him go through that AGAIN, he already almost lost her in Unravel Me/Fracture Me

it's like there's a part of me that wants to be team adam but i can't quit be there. even after reading Fracture me, where you see that he's really a compassionate person, in the sense that he'll do anything for his brother and almost died inside when he thought he was dead...well, i want to like him more, but i'm still warner all the way.

yeah hopefully Adam will find himself a calm, contained, not so deadly girl later on and finally get over Juliette so we can watch her and Warner.
personally if Mafi makes Juliette end up with Warner (and I feel like she will) I can't wait for the moment Adam finds out

anyone think maybe juliette will go solo at the end of ignite me?

I'm really thinking it is going to be Warner now that we found out Adam thinks Juliette is dead and Juliette thinks Adam is dead. Plus like someone said earlier Adam seemed to not care to go after Juliette and didn't seem that upset by her death although the book does end there so maybe there will be some depression in Ignite Me. I also feel like he doesn't get Juliette and sees her as weak where Warner sees her as strong.

Anyone who thinks Adam loves her doesn't know what love is. He proved multiple times in Unravel Me that he DOESN'T love her - throwing such hissy fits about her breaking up with him, preferring she risk accidentally killing him and losing the last of her sanity instead of him risking the single life, constantly getting caught up in the action and leaving her behind. Maybe that flies as "true love" to people who don't know what it is, but - as a married woman with some shitty exes - I can assure you that is not love at all.

So over it. She shot Warner and he forgave her. She ripped his heart out of his chest and he saved her life. Adam just whines and mopes and glares.

Adam has annoyed me since the first time he graced a page in this series. I just find him very fake and just plain pathetic. She broke up with you and you just abandon her because of it! What Caitlin said is so true! I'm SO sick of Adam and his cocky, self righteous self. He needs to get over himself because he's pretty dense. Going into this novella I already knew I'd never like Adam more than Warner, it just wasn't gonna happen. But I went with an open mind and I was proven to be right about him all along. He's just a horny angsty teenage boy that loved the idea of a beautiful girl...

To be honest, I hated Adam AND Warner in the first book, but my sister convinced me to give the series another chance and now I totally adore it and Warner.

I just never understood the whole "I love Adam" thing, because it's like falling in love with the first guy to ever speak to you, not because it's meant to be, not because he's anything special or life-changing, but because you are so desperate for a boyfriend you'd rather date the first male creature to look at you than wait for something worthwhile.

I agree and i think if Adam hadn't been there in the first book and she knew more about Warner she might have fallen for him instead and we never would have had to endure Adam's pathetic attempt at being a boyfriend. Then again, if that had never happened I don't think I would appreciate Warner so much.

I think that the story could have worked without a love triangle. She could have saved herself and stumbled upon Omega Point and the excitement of the Warner romance would have come from her thinking he was a bad guy and being held back by her fear and misconceptions as opposed to this illogical attachment to a "man" (Adam) who doesn't feel the same.

In general, I'm not a huge fan of love triangles, so I do spend a lot of time trying to discover how necessary they actually are to the plot of the story. Usually not very.

Case in point: If the love triangle focused on a guy who couldn't choose between two girls, it would be viewed much more harshly. If gender equals discernment, how necessary can it truly be to the story?

i haven't read fracture me...yet, but i'm still team adam all the way!!! warner is OK, but well, for me i feel like he only fell for juliette coz of her ability that he envied, and well, adam really cared for her, and i just can't forget the moment juliette found out that she can touch adam <3, i just really hope adam end up with juliette in ignite me!!

I think Fracture Me just kind of reinforced my belief (and hope) that Juliette will end up with Warner. Tahereh wrote it in such a way that I felt like Adam didn't really love Juliette as much as he thought he did. That's always been my main problem with them is that I don't feel like they actually know each other. Adam says he's known Juliette since she was a child but that's not true, he observed her, never spoke to her. And vice versa. She didn't know him either.

Warner knew about her power the whole time, before he ever fell for her in any capacity. He always knew about her power, but it was when he really met her and talked to her and read her thoughts that he truly fell in love with her.

I think you can really tell the difference in how the two love Juliette when she's dying or presumed dead. Adam barely reacts, but Warner looks as if he might die if Juliette does. If he lost Juliette he'd be destroyed, whereas Adam would only be fractured.

I don't see how she could possibly make Adam and Juliette end up together, I think when she said that she meant just in terms of how the story wraps up plot wise and she's probably right because I have no idea how things with Anderson will shake out. I don't think she's been very subtle about her favoring of Warner. And if she wanted Juliette to end up with Adam she would have written Fracture Me totally differently in my opinion.

She said Juliette will make the healthiest choice for her in terms of romance, how could it be Adam when she admitted she felt stronger and more independent after they broke up? When Warner makes her feel braver and less ashamed, encourages her to use her ability and be stronger? I just don't see how it could happen and if it did it wouldn't make any sense at all.

I'm with you there, Hannah. I really hope you're right because if she finds some BS way to end up with Adam I will be so angry. At first I would've just been disappointed, but after reading the latest novella I will be so mad if picks Adam. Personally I wouldn't want to be with a guy who thought so little of me and had such little faith in me. Juliette has had her annoying moments but she didn't deserve to be abandoned like that. It's gotta be Warner. It just has to be....

yeah you are right. tahereh mafi herself roots for warner more than any of us, don't see how can there be an adam and Juliette ending.

I think Adam doesn´t love Juliette as warner does. And I never really liked Adam. I saw what Juliette saw on he, but I did not like him.

If she did end up with Adam I wouldn't just be annoyed because I like Warner better and prefer Juliette with him, I think it'd totally change the way I view the whole series. A lot hinges on how she ends Ignite Me.

Also another thing to note is that in blurb for Fracture Me/on the back of Unite Me, and in Ignite Me, Adam is referred to as Juliette's first love. If they were going to end up together I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be the term used. She'd use 'true love' or something like that if that's what Tahereh intended for us to think.

i think TM dropped hints about adam and alia in fracture me. in fact, the entire book seemed like it is making way for juliette and warner.

When Mafi said what you think will happen won't I don't think she was referring to the love triangle (which in one of her interviews she actually says it's never been a love triable, the choice Juliette will make has always been clear, saw that a while ago).

I feel like there were hints about Alia in FM too.

I didn't even catch that when I read it! Ignite Me has GOT to be focused on Warner.

Is anyone else equally excited and terrified to read Ignite Me? I'm so stoked to find out how it ends and to find out who survives and who ends up with who, but I'm also petrified she'll kill off one of my favorite characters or Warner won't get a happy ending!

Oh totally! It's like Allegiant all over again, that has ruined the way I look at final books now in series and trilogies. I trust Mafi and she said that "I was in a daze after Mockingjay... I wouldn't do that to my readers..." So hopefully she won't shatter us. Allusion intended :)

Also I think that Mafi is setting Adam up to be with Alia (Whom we know nothing about, and has NEVER been really mentioned) which I have no interest in hearing about... Only one book left and I just want lots of WARNER... LOL :)

Looking forward to the release of the next book, so glad I stumbled onto this series later on so I didn't have to wait as long as the rest of you :)

I have been waiting an entire year for this. It's been agonizing but worth it

LOL I always seem to find the popular series when they are almost finished which is fine by me ;) I only heard of the hunger games after Mockingjay came out and I read the whole series in a weekend...

I'm the same with the hunger games. Right after mocking jay game out I read them and was blown away.

There is rumor they are making Shatter Me into a movie. I hope it's not true

For me if the movies don't do the book justice I just roll my eyes axnd don't watch the rest...... I'd rather they make the movie with a chance it might be bad than not at all. I really liked what they did with the Hunger Games movies :)

From reading this book for the first time I like Adam. BUt i only like him cause he loves his brother. Not because of how he feels for Juliette i think he could easily find someone else who will be better for him.
