Summary of Book:

When the King of Traen makes a promise to his dying Queen that he will only marry a woman with the same blonde hair, the eyes of the Kingdom turn to Aurelia: His Daughter. In his search for the next two years, the King never finds a woman who can match the beautiful of his deceased wife, only Aurelia.
Aurelia, The Princess, who has never been shown parental love, enjoys the Fatherly attention he begins to show her. She doesn't believe the rumors of the Kingdom of the possible marriage the King has decided to plan for the both of them. In his growing madness, the King lures the Princess to his room and betrays her trust. It is up to Aurelia to escape the only home she's known and start anew in a land far from the King. She tricks her Father to provide her with beautiful gowns, and a large coat of a thousand furs to buy her time in delaying the marriage.
Aurelia leaves behind the King and the Castle, believing he has died in the fire and runs to a neighboring Kingdom of Saarland der Licht, disguised in the large coat of furs. A Prince finds her in the forest and brings her back to the palace. Unlike the original fairy tale, the Prince makes her a Guest in his home, and provides her every luxury. Eventually, Aurelia, who is called "Allerleirauh" discards her coat, and allows the Prince to truly see her. Klaus, the Prince and Aurelia begin to enjoy each other's company and become friends. Klaus confesses to Aurelia of his arranged marriage and the approaching Ball in which he must announce his news. He also reveals startling news that might change everything for Aurelia and the approaching future.


I wrote this novel in hopes to help any victim of abuse, whether from their family members, friends, or strangers.It's a story about moving forward, and facing the troubles which have fallen upon us in the past. It's also about hope - there is always hope of better things around the corner; that everyone deserves a happy ending, and that it is attainable. This novel does push some boundaries with the reality of sexual abuse, but does nothing to "glam it up." It faces truths and real pain that any teenager or adult would face in such a situation with a Fairy Tale Twist.
