Book Haven discussion

L.J. Smith wrote YA books that included everything from Vampires to witches to shapeshifters. She was extremely popular about 15 years ago, but fell off the grid when she had to cease writing due to family issues. She recently began writing again, and he books are were re-issued to bookstores!

Vampire Diaries will be airing this fall, and it is based on L.J. Smith's series!

I'm only familiar with The Vampire Diaries The Awakening and The Struggle and saw there is a new sequel to the series. However, the reviews are very mixed.

The TV series itself doesn't look too bad. I can't help but giggle at the diary aspect. It gets downplayed in the books but seems to be prominent in the TV series. A bunch of teenagers and vampire writing in their diaries just strikes me as funny.

I personally would not suggest The Vampire Diaries The Return Volume 1 Nightfall. Otherwise, all of L.J. Smith's books are great!

I really hope the show does the series justice, but who knows...I airs on September 10th. :)

I loved her books and am glad she is back!
