Hello all:

So, I've given this a lot of thought and taken your suggestions into account and this is what I've come up with.

You might notice that I've added a picture to the masthead - that is my current to-read pile, the books that have built up over the last year while I've been doing this project. Those books will form the foundation of our reading this year.

So this year, we'll continue to read a book a week, but it will be an eclectic mix of bestsellers, finds, and old favourites. With an emphasis on fiction but some non-fiction too. There is no head to read the books in the order they appear. The great thing about the group is that the discussions continue long after the book has been read. And to make planning easier, and since I'm not tied to the bestseller list anymore, I'll announce two books at once.

So I hope that's good for everyone.

So without further ado, our first two reads are:

1. Wonder by R.J. Palacio: http://amzn.to/1g5MHoB

2. The Fable of Bing by Tim Sandlin: http://amzn.to/1hRm7mM

Ann I've not heard of either of these, so I'm excited to be surprised!

Sandra | 86 comments I am going to check with elibraries right now and see if they have these books. It's nice to be in on this right from the beginning this year, hopefully I will be able to read more of the selected books than last year.

I think there will be print copies of Fable but it's only an e-book for now.

Jeannine Harbison (jeannineharbison) I am so in for this! Thanks, Catherine, for helping me find such great reads - some I would never have read... On to "Wonder", well after I finish Zelda, still working on the top 10 from last year!
