I agree with you Carina. My mom wants me to read the books but they don't seem that good.
Well I know HP pretty dang well. My parents and sister made me see some of the movies. And my mom has read the first chapter a bunch of times, trying to get me interested.
Harry Potter
The Hunger Games
Matched
Delirium
The Fault In Our Stars
THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS
Legend

I forgot one! Divergent too. I've read the first 100 or so pages and it's completely underwhelming.

But it's badly written...:D

I don't know. It's fun and stuff but there's no imagery or description. I literally can't imagine what anything looks like without using the movie trailer. There's no sense of place. I don't know. xD

Wait. I only just noticed. Twilight?! Hey! Twilight is great, okay. Why does everyone hate it?! Ugh.
Wah! I can't win. Seriously though, the descriptions are bad. xD Maybe it's because she's only like 24 or something?!
Yep. Harry Potter too. Me and extremely hyped books don't have the best relationship.

Overhyped books in my opinion that shouldn't be are Harry Potter and Angelfall. the writing in Angelfall was far too simplistic

Divergent too. It wasn't very well written. I didn't even finish it. :/
