Very interesting! May check this one out. Amazing isn't it, the books that escape our attention over the years!
Donna Louise, I know. A lot of my favourite books over the years have been discovered by chance. When that happens, I often think that there are probably tens of thousands of books out there that I would love but will never come across.
Go for it Donna! I upped my total by five.
I have made an initial selection, and left some gaps for later in the year

Donna, you could actually use Cross Stitch as your romance book if it would be easier. Having read the first two Outlander books, I have them shelved as 'historical romance' and from what I've read, most other people categorise them that way, too.

Not everybody is a fan of fantasy, but I also have several by Robin Hobb and also Mr Pratchett :)

How about choosing something from Persephone Books? I love their selection of books - they specialise in republishing neglected and forgotten novels. You can get some real gems from there, like Dorothy Whipple. They publish a beautiful catalogue twice a year.

If they are not called Random Penguin then I am stealing that just in case I ever set up a book publishing company. :D So would Virago count as a small publisher then?
