Immortals After Dark discussion

I just finished Lothaire. It was amazing <3 Now on to the next. As for reading order, is it better to get into Shadows Claim or Macrieve first? I know shadows claim is a Dacian spinoff, but does it fit chronologically into the series or more stand alone? Thanks!

I read Lothaire then MacRieve, but haven't read Shadow's Claim. I don't think I missed a beat by not reading it, but maybe someone who's read all 3 might say otherwise.

I never read Shadows claim and I don't see any changes in the action and the story thow I intend to read it soon
