I thought it might be fun to do a regular question section to find out a bit more about the bookworms around us.

Question 1

Do you have a resolution for the New Year?

Keep my bedside table neat and tidy...and no, it was not my wife's suggestion!

Although, it will be hard with the new books and the new alarm clock ...

message 3: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Stay within my weight watchers points and go to my jazzercize classes instead of just paying for weight watchers and jazzercize membership. Alternatively, I resolve to quit both if I do neither by end of feb

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments Love the new clock, 'Worm.

I have resolved to write more and do a better job of marketing. I didn't bother making resolutions in my personal life, as I am either doing fine in an area (like exercise) or completely hopeless (like parenting teens).

message 5: by Melki (new)

Melki I resolve to travel to Canada and steal Bookworm's amazing alarm clock.

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments You know, I need a new alarm clock. I wonder if I'd be faster to get up with Darth threatening me or if, say, Han Solo was beckoning. . . Gads, I remember being in love with him when the first movie came out, a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

I wasn't even born when the first Star Wars came out...

The only thing that would make the clock better would be for the alarm to say something like, 'wake up, I am your Father'. Instead it just beeps an annoying beep. Then you get to bop it on the head. It then turns red and you get to snooze for five minutes, then repeat.

I like that resolution Jessica - I resolve to quit both if I do neither by the end of Feb.
Good luck either way.

You hold him, Rebecca.
I'll punch him.

Sam (ecowitch) | 319 comments Resolutions be damned, I'll make changes if and when I want to...obviously I won't be since I'm perfect ;-) lol

Yeah. Little rat. Guess that's why he's a worm--not old enough to have become a butterfly, like us :D

I was joking about that the other day with my wife. I think it was about other parents. We laughed, 'why can't they just be perfect like us'. :)

Jessica Star Wars: I saw the very first one in the movie theater with my dad in the 70s. We waited on a line that went around the block to see it, and then it sold out before we could get tickets. So we went again the following weekend and saw it. I also remember dancing around my living room to the soundtrack playing on the turntable.

Good times.

Mathew Carruthers | 72 comments No resolutions for me - that way my life won't fall short on expectations. There are things I plan on doing, that are pretty much the same from year to year - find a better job, get more exercise, eat better, read more, watch less tv, build/make more, buy less. Stuff like that.

Michael (michaelbl) | 200 comments Resolution this years was to continue to not set resolutions. I will stick to permanent goals.
