Harry Potter discussion

J.K. Rowling might have said that there will no longer be any books about Harry Potter. What about Harry's children? Will they have to fight a new Dark Lord?

I heard that too. That she would be doing a Harry Potter Encyclopedia for charity. This is supposed to include deleted chapters and background stories on people she didn't get to give more time to in the books. I also heard she wouldn't be doing it for a few years. I think I would prefer more books....but if that isn't happening, an encyclopedia would be cool!

After hearing this rumor about the encyclopedia. I went to the site that would have all the info on anything that JK Rowlings is doing. mugglenet.com and according to them, she is doing it and I think they are thinking of doing one as well. But I can't remember what they said. go check them out and see what it was that they said.

I think the Harry's kids series would be nice. And the encyclopedia would be nice as well.

What does anyone know about The Tales of Beetle the Bard? I just found out about this new Rowling book yesterday and am so excited. Thoughts?

I can't believe it took you guys so long to figure that out. I've known about this ever since Breaking Dawn (by Stephenie Meyer) came out. Yeah, I heard the encyclopedia rumour, but I wasn't sure if it was true or not. That's really cool!

I am a huge HP fan don't get me wrong. And while I'm excited about Beedle the Barb, I ready for another novel. I want to know what it next, weither more of HP world or something new. I believe JKR is a total genius and I want to see if she can do better.

well, some one else published an 'encyclopedia' it's called Harry Potter: Fact Fiction and Folklore.
it's got a quote in the back that was something like, "when i am done with the seventh harry potter book, i beleive that i will be done with his world." by jkr and had a ship sailing off into the distance... almost made me shed a tear!
but now that she's releasing beedle the bard, she might be rethinking it!
plus, since she's introduced harry's kids and stuff, she might write the next generation!
even if voldy is dead...

didn't at one point she say that she was going to publish background stories on some lesser known characters like bellatrix lestrange? that's what i heard last year after the 7 book was published anyways, but idk about u guys...

don't trust author words ( no offense to them) nut they change their mind too often

I heard she was going to put together an Encyclopedia that covered all things Harry Potter, and that it would include bibliographies of all the characters. Thats why it was so important for her to sue that guy recently that wanted to put out an encyclopedia. She was going to do the same thing.

She said she was done with Harry Potter, basically. That's what I heard at least. She was writing another book, but she's going to publish it under a pen-name so it won't be compared to Harry Potter... that might not be true, but it's just what I heard.
I can't wait for Beedle the Bard!! And you know all the money is going to charity too!!

A good website to check out for the "real story" would be jkrowling.com She (or a rep of hers more likely) updates that website themselves. I assume the information on there is correct, but yes mugglenet.com is the second best harry potter website for that kind of information (if not better because it's updated more frequently).

You should all buy 'Harry, A History' by Melissa Anelli, who is the webmistress behind TLC.org. From what I've gathered, it's all about the HP fandom, covering events such as Terminus and book releases. It also has exclusive interviews with JKR herself, the crew behind the production of the books, as well as interviews from the film crew.

I'm getting my copy as soon as my £££ comes rolling in!

If you guys want to get an "after-epilogue" fix, check out "Pottercast" podcast. (Melissa Anelli, author of "Harry a History' is on this podcast) They are actually delving into some fan fiction drama and recording audio episodes of the next era of the Harry Potter stories. The first episode started on the Hogwarts Express right after the epilogue and continued to Harry/Ginny, Hermoine/Ron, and Malfoy's kids get sorted. It's great fun!

There actually is an online book on James Potter (Harry's kid) but it's by a different author and it's all wrong. Since JK Rowling gave him the rights to write it, I don't think she plans to make a series herself. Though, she did start getting a little irritated when the author started to not keep it true to her books. lol maybe she'll avenge the books and make a series herself after all :). That would be really cool.
