I want to second . I read this a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Aside from the very real protrayal of life in Iran, there are discussions of some of the classics, which may give you some ideas for future reads!

I'm sorry, but neither the The Water Clock or Rebecca are set in Surrey.
