For me, my biggest Book Quirk, is that I will not damage a book in anyway. I don't crack the spine, I don't dog ear pages, nor do I even attempt to bring a book into the bath with me, with fear that I might drop it in the water.

What are your reading quirks?

Erica (ericaevernight) I refuse to dog ear pages, I never write in them, and in fact if I'm reading a library copy and I see writing I'll erase it. I have never bought a book that I haven't read before....unless is from a series like The Heroes of Olympus. I refuse to hear anyone bad talk Twilight, whenever that happens I always defend the book and get really worked to the point where I'm really insulted. When I buy books, even though I hate if there's a sticker I never peel it off. I never remove the book sleeve, I always tape it to the book. I haven't loaned out a book ever since 8th grade when some girl (grr!!! that girl!) didn't give it back to me for a whole month........a month!!!...and there were hot cheeto stains on page 54 , yes I remember the page!! oh the agony I endured, I worried and stessed that I wouldn't get it back!! Me and that.....that..."girl" are no longer friends, and I havent loaned anyone a book ever since......lesson learned....trust no one with precious items. And Lastly I get very very very very angry when it comes to my book shelf, I attacked my sister last year for ripping the last for pages out of my Wolves of Mercy Falls book Forever. I actually attacked her...till this day she never touches them, because she knows I'm watching..... ..

Erin Vastag I don't buy books unless I've read it and am planing on rereading it. Most books I only read once so I just get them from the library. Unless it is a book in a series and I don't want to wait for it.

I do the same! What I also do is when I return books, I also leave the reminder slip from the library in the book so people would know when was the last time it was taken out. I think this is a trend because the last time I took out this one book, and there was a reminder slip from 2 years ago

Ally Bryan (allysbookshoparoundthecorner) | 260 comments Same here! I will mainly read on my iPad or rent from the library (sadly being obsessed with books is an expensive hobby) and then if I loved that book, I will go buy the hardcover!
