Hello Caleb. Good premises and good fortune on your dreams and ambitions.
I read what you wrote about love. I am on the side of the song that says: "Learning to love yourself is the greatest love all."
Without self-love/self-esteem/self-respect, one can't be happy. One would be a second-hander, needing the love or approval of others, instead of thinking independently or seeking/standing by the truth.

I will read the others next time. Warmest regards.

(I suggest starting with my Thoughts on Life. It’s a bunch of really short chapters on some interesting things I’ve noticed about life. In between these chapters are sometimes poems. If you like this then go on to A Reason to Live. It’s a story I am still working on, but it is my best. From there you can read any of my writing you want. Or just start with any of them, it’s your choice)
