Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) This movie comes out on February 14th. Any thoughts? Opinions? What do you think of the casting? Do you like the portrayal angle they are going for?

I'm not entirely sure what I think of it. Of course, I wasn't impressed with the first book and have only read that one so far, so I guess I haven't given the series a fair chance yet. There's just so much I have to read - especially since there are so many movies coming out based on books this year!

Aline I love that there is a movie coming out but I dindt like the cast choice for Lissa, Dimitri and Mia, but that wont make any difference at Feb 14, I will watch anyway.

Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) I'm excited for the movie either way. It seems that it's more of a Mean Girls with vampires.

Jojobean Ehh it looks ok. I didn't hear anything about it until I saw the trailer a few days ago.

Thats another thing..Isn't Dimitri supposed to be older than Rose but in the movie he looks like he's her age

message 7: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) I think so. I'm not sure HOW much of a difference, but the characters don't look to be teenagers in the movie. So they look similar in age when they're in their twenties.

S | 19 comments Is the series good? The movie seems interesting and i'd like to give books about vampires another chance. :)

Maren K (mkgunning) | 6 comments Loved the book. It was not particularly well-written or fascinating, but the characters were all different, developed, and interesting. I think that this Mean-Girls angle they're trying to play is totally taking away from the original feel of the book. I was so excited but now I'm not sure if I want to go :(

PinkyJapan (himajen) | 87 comments I just ready the book and really liked it. I have low expectations for the movie, mainly because the City of Bones movie was such a disaster. In the trailer for VA there are several things that didn't happen in the book, like Lissa giving some speech in front of the students, ("Blood is family!" What the...?). Note to all movie producers/directors: You are making a movie because the book was so successful, SO STICK TO THE BOOK. Hopefully they did but we'll just have to wait and see!

Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) I think that this movie is going to be more Vampire style Mean Girls

Maren K (mkgunning) | 6 comments I'm already put off by the fact that the title "Blood Sisters" is not the title of any of the books. Do you think they invented a new plot for the movie??

thats what I thought and I was sooooooooo nervous. I literally had butterflies right before it started.

BUT IT WAS AAAAHHHHHMAZING. I am in love with danilla, omg he was so great. And zoey was the perfect rose

PinkyJapan (himajen) | 87 comments I agree I think Danila was amazing and Zoey was perfect. She made the movie.

The movie pretty much stuck to the book but not absolutely of course. They changed minor things and added some random stuff, (like "blood-splashing?").

I think they had "Blood Sisters" in the title because they wanted to prepare the movie for a series and wanted each movie to have a different title. Also, Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters is the title of the 1st book in many languages, (apart from English).

message 15: by Tayla (new)

Tayla Potayta (taylapotayta) Ooooohh okay I was wondering what that was. And yes I was very confused with all the blood on the walls. They would never let blood go to waste

message 16: by Turtlefrog (new)

Turtlefrog I just saw this movie last night and loved it. It was so funny. And yes I am one that has not read this series. So for those who have I have to ask. Are the books as HILARIOUS as the movie was? Because watching the movie made me want to read the book.

Margaret (pearapple) | 110 comments Me too! I liked the movie better I think and I read the book after I saw the movie, its what made me actually want to read the books sooner

message 18: by Tayla (new)

Tayla Potayta (taylapotayta) The books are always better

message 19: by Margaret (new)

Margaret (pearapple) | 110 comments Not for all movies, the Enders Game movie was better then the book, I think...

message 20: by Lovisa (new)

Lovisa (peachylovisa) I have just watch the trailer but I think it sucks. I'm sorry, but "They suck at school"?! It's not the plot!

message 21: by Maya (new)

Maya Pankratz (simply__stardustx) | 98 comments The trailer made the movie seem more like a teen drama then it was in the book.
