Taylor (seffietay) With February's selections on deck, I'm getting started on the nominations for March selection early so we all have lots of time to get our hands on copies.

What do we want to read for March???

I'm interested in Americanah for fiction and The Means of Reproduction: Sex, Power, and the Future of the World for non-fiction.

Empress (the_empress) I second that non fiction suggestion. It send very interesting.
Ill look up for something fictional tomorrow. Are we allowed to repeat old ssuggestions? Just curious

Michael | 24 comments I loved Americanah and gave it 5 stars, but it is mostly about race and only addresses feminism peripherally, at least in my opinion. The main character is a strong woman, though, and would probably call herself some version of "feminist".

My fiction nomination: A Thousand Splendid Suns
My non-fiction nomination: Feminism and Pop Culture

Are we allowed to nominate more than one in a category?

message 4: by Lauri (new)

Lauri I nominate Summer by, Edith Wharton

message 5: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (seffietay) Ooooh I've been looking for an excuse to read A Thousand Splendid Suns!

Redemption in Indigo or
Who Fears Death."

All three are on my to-read list, I have Redemption in Indigo on my bookshelf...

Taylor (seffietay) Ghost Bride! Ghost Bride! Oh man. I want to read all the books. Everywhere.

I need a T-shirt that says that!

message 12: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (seffietay) Perfect! Delusions of Gender looks great.

message 13: by Janet (new)

Janet (janetfitch) | 11 comments Huge fan of Chocolates for Breakfast.

message 14: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (seffietay) Thanks for all the nominations! Poll is now up!

message 15: by Alexa (new)

Alexa (AlexaNC) I'm not sure if everyone realizes that there are currently two March polls going on. I had to click on "Polls" up at the top right of the home page in order to see both of them. There are some great books there to choose from!

message 16: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (seffietay) I knoooow there doesn't seem to be a way to get both on the main page, just one. *shakesfistatgoodreads*

message 17: by Michael (new)

Michael | 24 comments You might get more participation if you sent an email to the group with links to the two polls. A lot of my other groups do that.

message 18: by Alexa (new)

Alexa (AlexaNC) The fiction poll is currently in a 5-way-tie! Anybody feel like changing their vote?

message 19: by Pink (new)

Pink I don't mind changing, but I think one of them is in the lead now anyway? Not too sure as I can't see the poll, but I had a peak at how people had voted.

message 20: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (seffietay) Thanks to everyone who voted! Delusions of Gender stole the non-fic show, and Chocolates for Breakfast won fiction. I'll start a new thread for April nominations soon :)
