Walking Disaster
question
Has anyone read this book?

I read Beautiful Disaster and now just started the second book "Walking Disaster" and so far 1/4 of the book in it's the first book but narrated from Travis's point of view? I feel so far it's a ripoff because I know the story, I want something new to add to the story. Anyone read this? If so, does it get any better?

I have read both books. I liked his version better. God when he went back to his dad's after Thanksgiving, it broke my heart.
For those of you who have read BOTH books:
Would reading Travis's book alone be satisfying enough or should I read both?
I prefer to read the male's POV and was thinking of reading Travis's POV first; that good idea or not?
PS
I dislike reading the same book but just from different POV's.
TIA

I read it and aside from the prologue and epilogue it was pretty much the same thing. Mind you I read Beautiful disaster twice, so its as if I read it for a 3rd time.
I really tried, but I couldn't finish it. I got to the chapter 4. I saw no point in finishing it.
I went through all the book.It actually fell short to my expectation.I really enjoyed beautiful disaster, but this one.NO just NO.It is like re-reading beautiful disaster all over again(only from Travis pov).Except some things that happened in the end.I mean if it was fifty shades of grey, and it was Christian, not Travis,it would be mind-blowing,and interesting too..Well,if you haven't read Beautiful Disaster and you really want to,you can either read BD nor WD.Depends on whose personal point of view you want to explore the story.
I tried to read few pages but I have to stop. It's just Travis's POV. It feels like I'm reading Beautiful Disaster again. But I didn't miss the Last Chapter and the Epilogue :)
I just finished BD and WD and loved both. I am a little confused by some of the comments that say WD was the same as BD...of course it was, it was the same story, just told from a different POV in each book. I guess that is why I liked both. I got to be inside the head of each one and see the story through their eyes. I'm already into A Beautiful Wedding and can't wait to for Jamie to release to rest of the Maddox boy's stories.
It was just Beautiful Disaster with identical dialogue, descriptions, and narrative, but told from the POV of a wimpy, pathetic Travis. If I had read this first, I would have thought that he was a total loser. And Pigeon seems even more crazy.
i have read this book and i liked it.. just a bit disappointed because it's not entirely what i expected.. i wanted more of whats on Travis' mind..

Yes I did and the book may not be that much better then the first but the ending was real good. It tell you want happens 10 years later witch beautiful diaster did not do.there is also two other after this witch i just finish reading really good.

I am like obsessed with this book! And Travis is just amazing!
I really love this book. It obviously goes through the same story, but there are different scenes because we get to see what Travis does. I love his part so much better
I read it and LOVED it. This series is my favorite series! I loved the second one just as much. At first I was skeptical because i didn't think id learn anything new, but you get a whole new perspective and i like that. It's worth the read.
it's much better than BD you see things from Travis' POV there are a few new scenes and you get to see why was travis acting like that in BD.........
I loved this book more than the first.
I loved this book more than the first.
the whole book is just Beautiful Disaster in Travis's POV :(
there are a few new scenes put in (not too many though) and it's interesting getting his perspective, which often differs a fair bit from how abby saw things, but yeah, its all just his side of the same story. Epilogue's different though.
I think it's better than BD since it gives a chance to see things from Travis's side. Epilogue is different as Joanne said; but it's not good, so don't hold your breath.
I'm happy that I did not read this right after BD because I would have wanted my money back. This was seriously just a copy and paste story. I think the only thing she added was after Abby blacked out at her B-day party and the epilogue. She doesn't even get into the fights too much.
I skimmed through it as I also thought it was BD retold, not enough new stuff to keep me interested.
I did enjoy this. Nothing compares to the 1st though. I have to say that the novella, A Beautiful Wedding I really did not relate to. I felt like I was reading a new book about 2 totally different characters. Was not thrilled with it.

I read the whole thing and realized that, not only did I essentially reread "Beautiful Disaster," I also still hated all of the characters (except Shep. Good old Shepley...he was alright in my book [Psyke! Shepley sucks too. He could hit by a clown car full of "Dude-Brahs" and I wouldn't care]). Save yourself some money and read the first book again but every time you see the words "pigeon", "bag" or "Travis," hit yourself really hard in the face with the book/reading device...it'll give you the same experience (I'm not saying I've done this myself...but I'm not prepared to deny it either).
Yeah I didn't put much interest into because it was literally the same thing, and travis' emotions weren't like delivered properly imo
I read it, but it was kind of lame because it was the same exact story with the same exact dialogue between Travis and Abby. And Travis's mind is sooo raunchy haha. It was good, but not as good as Beautiful Disaster
I read this and loved it. Not only does it give you travis's point of view but it shows you why he did the things he did! I really enjoyed getting to see how he felt about the whole situation.
It was just Travis's POV which included small chapter about 10 years later at the end :)
I read this book for the same reason I watch bad Lifetime movies- I really don't have to pay attention too much.
The nice part about reading the same story told from a different perspective is you can skip entire sections. For me, I skipped the entire fight at the party where he throws her over his shoulder like a caveman and when the fire broke out. I hated those scenes in the 1st book.
Am I the only one that wondered
1. why weren't there glowing EXIT signs in the school building so the kids would know where to leave and where were the sprinklers? Sooooo ridiculous!!!!I guess the school never heard of fire codes.
BTW- why would they use kerosene lamps? Didn't they ever see Little House on the Prairie? It never ends well!!!
