Thank you to Gisbelle over at Crazy for Young Adult Books for allowing me to use this idea.

I've found myself really looking at book covers more because of this (obviously) and appreciating some of the stunning book covers out there. I'm really enjoying putting my list together so I thought I'd share the idea with you all.

To give you a better idea of the challenge you can see mine here

It is a really interesting idea, I have various challenges going on right now, but I will definitely look closer to some of the covers, and if I have some fitting examples, I will put my list together too :)

Most of the pink books I've encountered are pretty girly. However, one of my all time favorite dystopian books happens to be pink, so I thought I would share for those who are stumped on pink.

I was doing this challenge for another group and I haven't finished pink and purple. I finally looked up a bunch of books by color and added them to my TBR.

I'm sure I'll jump on board with this one, not sure exactly when I'll start yet, but I'll update & start a thread when I do. :)

where are we putting this challenge looks like fun and a challenge I may consider this but not sure if I would go out of my way just hope that I have books on my list with the correct color

Stephanie, you'll need to post a new topic under the "Yearly Challenges" folder. Lynn and I both have them listed as "Color Challenge". :)

I find it amusing when scrolling down the list.
colour...color...colour... haha! Spell check is on team "color" :(

Hahaha....I would bet that spell check is on different teams dependent on where you (and the application) are from. So, my spell check would correct to "color" and Lynn's would correct to "colour".

Well, I from Poland so my would be kolor, but I tend to stick to British spelling LOL

What would you class the following three books as?
I can't decide if they are all black or if they are blue/green, red and grey respectively?



Because more of the cover is the color, but the background of the cover is black...which makes it stand out a lot more...

Personally I would put them in black but they can be either.

Use them to fit what you need in your challenge. I have been known to swap books around mid challenge so don't think your first decision can't be changed.

I put them in black originally but may switch them out as it doesn't feel quite right.

The Cover is up for The Forever Song! AND IT'S PURPLE!!!
*rejoices for lack of purple cover books*

Really? I think purple was my first colour that I filled.

I'm doing this challenge for another group as well. I'm about 6 months into that one and still haven't read a purple book.

Opinions please, what category would you put this in?

Brown or orange but I lean toward orange. It's the first color I see.

I'm gonna go with brown especially as I need one more book to fill that category and already filled orange ;)

This is a fabulous COLOR challenge :)! I think I'm joining you on this one as well. I must confess, however, that I ended up falling one book short of completing the A-Z challenge. I just could not find anything that was even worth my time in the X category and there are way too many good books out there to waste one’s time. Consequently, I’ve closed up shop at 25/26 books on that one. I did love the challenge though because it made me step out of my comfort zone to explore new authors, so no complaints here. I’ll be getting my covers together and posting soon. Thanks again for such a fun and COLORFUL idea!

Oh ok Lynn. Thanks :) I deleted it from here and added it to my folder. I really have to say, I like this challenge especially the colorful book, it's different and there is more colors than just the same old colors. Thanks again. I found this book that has a lot of colors in it, if anyone is stuck.
