Grasshopper Jungle by Andrew Smith - an amazing YA novel that deals with the important issue of sexuality.

The Girl with All the Gifts an interesting and intelligent take on the genre
The Paying Guests an interesting look at the social and domestic situation in Britain post World War One, which becomes something else in the last half

We have had Best of 2011, Best of 2012 and Best of 2013 thread and we will need a best of 2014 thread for the group read (next year). I find it interesting to start a Best of... thread early and see what people thing have been great books (that have been released in 2014) through out the entire year.
All 2014 books will go into the poll next year.
