I've read One Rough Man and it was very good. The writer has some real military experience and he consulted with black ops operators in writing the book, so it felt realistic. I'd read more of that series. I'm planning on reading Thor and Coes. As a matter of fact, I requested Power Down on audio from my library.

Vaelin | 0 comments Nice, both of those books are currently on my Kindle :)

Chris Marshall | 52 comments If you're planning on reading Brad Thor, read the first 5-6 books in his series. After that, his political views really impede any decent storytelling.

Mark Allen I read "Lions of Lucerne" by Brad Thor and found it to be a real chore to slog through. Can't see myself bothering with any of his other books. I've heard really good things about Brad Taylor and "One Rough Man" is sitting on my Kindle, but I haven't checked it out yet. Ben Coes I know nothing about, so as soon as I click "post" on this comment, I'm going to go educate myself.

Marc Just finished Taylor's "One Rough Man". Really enjoyed it. Also have read first 3 Coe's Dewey Andriolas novels - also very good. Not as high on Thor. Read first two in Harvath series--ok only. Going to try third in series soon.

Sean Peters | 4 comments Read Tom Wood, a great British author.

Great assassin character in his books

Samuel | 66 comments Out of the three, Taylor is the best and the one who strikes the balance between pace and realism. Coes relies more on "fun factor", exciting, over the top, destructive action set-pieces to compensate for his less than stellar research. As for Thor, his attempts at infusing his own political beliefs into the narrative leave much to be desired and drag the pace of his plots down.

Samuel | 66 comments Tom Wood is fantastic. Funnily enough, Brad Taylor gave an endorsement.
Mr Wood's fifth book will be coming out this year. A clash of titans across a New York being torn to shreds by a city-wide blackout and riot.

I need to pull Wood off my pile, and soon!

Joshua Hood | 4 comments I am a huge Brad Taylor and Dalton Fury fan. Both of these authors are the real deal, having served in Delta, and are great writers. Better than that, they are great people.

Roger Weston | 81 comments I noticed that Brad Thor recently released his first short story. Currently it's at 99 cents on Amazon. It might be a good place to start.
The Athens Solution A Short Story by Brad Thor
