Stacy's 1M Pages Lifetime Challenge
One of the groups I belong to has a 1M Page Race where ALL group members contribute to the page count (similar to our group's annual reading challenge for number of books). Do you think it would be a fun group challenge to start up? We could start it for 2014 so we'd only have to go back a few weeks.....

So. I thought I'd add to my list of personal challenges that I want to read 1M pages in my lifetime. I just finished going through all my "books read in XXXX" lists and added up all the page numbers by year. (Yeah...can you tell I'm done with school and I'm really, really, really bored at work right now?) I decided to include the shelf I have that is books I read in middle and high school. By middle school, I was reading books with over 100 pages (before that, actually, because the Nancy Drew books could certainly count, but I didn't want to pick through those), so I felt I could count those since they had some substance to them.
Also, some of the books didn't have page numbers because I read them electronically, so I had to look those up and used the hardcover or paperback page numbers - whatever came up first. I'm not being a real stickler on this considering how many years I should have left in my life to read and how many pages I've already read. What I did not include where audiobooks or children's books, any silly books (like Cake Wrecks), or a tourist's guide to Jamaica that I thumbed through in 2011, LOL.
I plan to continually update this post each time I finish a book, but I want to do another post for each book to show my progress.
