message 20: by Mel (new)

Mel I finished American Fuji which was really good. Now I'm reading In the Name of Honor by Muhktar Mai (the Pakistani woman who was raped as retribution for her brother's alleged wrongdoing) It's good so far.

message 21: by Noel (new)

Noel (istop4books) I've just started Nine Parts of Desire: The Hidden World of Islamic Women by Geraldine Brooks. So far, very good.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Relentless by Dean Koontz

Mel Finished In the Name of Honor by Mukhtar Mai (the Pakistani woman who was gang raped--her story became known internationally about 4-5 years ago). I thought it was very good. She's quite amazing to have found against her rapist in a country where women have virtually no rights.
