Joannah Miley (joannahmiley) | 39 comments Hi Everyone,

I'm excited that The Immortal Game has been a BOTM in this group!

I'd love to discuss the story, so I'll get the party started with a few questions:

Would you rather: play chess, study organic chemistry, or ride a bike through city traffic?

Have you ever been bungee jumping, rock climbing, or done another sport that insurance companies frown on?

If you had to travel to the Underworld to save a goddess from Hades, what would be your weapon of choice?

Do you have a god or goddess crush? If so, who is it?

I'd also love to answer any questions YOU have, so feel free to ask!

Thanks,

Joannanh

Joannah Miley (joannahmiley) | 39 comments I'll go first!

1. Bike through traffic. When I lived in downtown Portland in the 90's I only had a bike for transportation and I loved it!

2. Rock climbing. I love it, but I am not a daredevil, and extreme heights scare me, so I will probably never bungee jump or sky dive, etc.

3. My weapon of choice (if I knew how to use it): bow and arrow

4. Ares, the god of war! ;)

Hailey Clark (hailzvb28) Bike through traffic

Rock climbing

I would use my vampire boyfriend as a weapon...lol

If you have read the goddess test series you would know what i am talking about but i like that version of Hades.

Joannah Miley (joannahmiley) | 39 comments Lol! Everyone should have a vampire boyfriend for a weapon!!

I have the Goddess Test on my to-read list. Sounds good! What did you think overall?

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ Hi Hailey and Joannah,
I've never heard of this book. Is it about vampires?
As for the questions, heree I go

1. Riding a bike through the city because before I got married I lived in the city and loved riding may bike. It was also easier to travel.

2. None. Never tried any.

3. 2 Samari swords

4. Poseidon, God of the Sea because I love swimming and being in the water.

Hi Carmen!

Travel by bike is so much easier. I love zipping passed stalled traffic! What city did you live in?

THE IMMORTAL GAME The Immortal Game (The Immortal Game #1) by Joannah Miley is my Young Adult/New Adult novel about a pre-med student named Ruby who falls in love with a Greek god. Soon after she learns that Zeus has forbidden the gods from interacting with humans and finds that they will have to make a daring rescue in the Underworld in order to be together. :)

It is the first book in the END GAME series.

Yes, white water rafting definitely counts--I think Poseidon would approve. :)

Hermes gets to see an awful lot. I bet hanging out with him would be fun!

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ I lived in New York City but moved out to the sub burbs but still in New York. :) I still go into the city but but now travel by car or mostly train with my kids and with my husband and friends to see plays.

Joannah Miley (joannahmiley) | 39 comments Wow, biking in NYC is pretty serious stuff!

I grew up in NY (Orange county and the Catskills), but I live in Washington state now.

Eat a real bagel for me, will ya? :)

I thought that they were great and i really liked them. I thought it was an interesting version of all that gods stuff so... you should read them because they are wonderful books.

Joannah Miley (joannahmiley) | 39 comments Sounds like a good recommendation! I will check them out, but I do try to be careful with reading anything about mythology. I have never read Percy Jackson, for instance, because I don't want someone else's ideas to seep into my writing. :)

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ You got it Joannah. :) I lived in Manhattan but live on Long Island now. How do you like Washington? Why did you decide to move there?

message 14: by Joannah (new) - added it

Joannah Miley (joannahmiley) | 39 comments I have family on Long Island. We used to go from Orange county to LI every Christmas morning. It only took about 100 hours with the traffic. ;)

I LOVE Washington, Carmen. There is so much natural beauty here. I never felt that NY was quite my speed, though the people are awesome, there is always something interesting to do, and the food is truly amazing!
