Courage Times Three.A Novel
question
While underground....

What would you change about the chapters describing life during the war? More details to it or less descriptive? Much of the story is a narrative. Do you like the narrative?

I would have liked more information about this time as this is where I felt the women were having to be courageous. This part seemed to be almost slipped over.
I truly wanted to concentrate more on the characters lives following the war. I would say it could have used more information about the time they were going through deepest struggles but intentionally moved forward as to make it a read for all audiences and not geared towards mostly historical. The book was categorized as a Christian fiction with a historical theme. But I see where Bev is coming from here. Yes, the hospital stays after childbirth were many after your pointing it out. A slip up on my part. I am writing a second novel now and am including much more one on one conversation between characters. I, too, agree there was altogether too much narrative. Thanks for your honest review Bev. I had not received any like this and it will give me cause to think about restructuring. Surely I would have preferred a rating of three stars but your judgement is altogether your own opinion and I respect that.
