I loved Harper she had a very strong personality. She didn't take crap from anyone and she tried to be independent in her own personal journey to healing. I don't think I've read a lot of leading teenage girls like her. Also, I really related with the feeling of always being the second best thing and not feeling comfortable when suddenly the favorite daughter disappears and suddenly there is more pressure on you to fill those shoes and way more ppl looking at you to screw it up.
Her inner dialogue never got boring, it wasn't annoying or self indulgent. She really thought things through and faced her problems. Plus, I really liked at the end how the dynamics between her and her mother changed. They both had to do some changing and it started working.
I can go on and on about the book !!! I loved the road trip !! I've actually never read a road trip book before. I only wished I saw the playlists in the back of the book before I finished.

Harper was great. I loved her honesty and the fact that she was okay with being who she was.
Over all I was happy. Even though of course Harper was dealing with her sisters suicide and all that one could imagine that comes along with that type of pain, she was amazing.
I hope everyone gets a chance to read this one.
I also loved this book! Harper was a great, strong character! A well written road trip with discovery, healing, building friendships and really a great coming of age story!
