Jessica (Goldenfurpro) (goldenfurproductions) | 4919 comments So, I've been thinking about age lately.
I'm 17 (I don't care if you guys know that) and will be going to college in the fall.
So i'm going to have to be adult-like soon.
But what's really weird is that people think i'm younger.
The other day my family (Mom, Grandma, and Me) went out to eat and they asked us if we wanted a kid's menu.
I also went to Barnes & Noble with my Mom (Long story short: I couldn't talk and needed a "voice") and when I paid for the book, the cashier gave the change to my mom, assuming that she was the one to pay for it.

These things happen a lot to me.
I'm 17, but I look 12.
And it's really weird because I have to be an adult soon.

Anyway, my point in all this is: Does anything like this happen to anyone else?

Alise (alisemarie) The menu thing used to happen to me ALL THE TIME. Especially when I was sixteen. Until I turned eighteen, I even got asked to show idea for a PG-13 movie!! TWICE. So I hated looking young for the longest time but now I kind of like it because it just means we will look great when we are forty ;D

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments I'd say I look pretty much my age. The weird thing is, I've had like 3 gym coaches mistake me for 2-3 years older than I actually am, but that's the only place it ever happens. One of them told me it's because I act more mature than my age... which, again, really only happens at the gym XD

Khalif I would look younger than I actually am, if not for my height. Without it, I could pass for 12

Robin | 5442 comments I look too old. Like. Ridiculously so. I can't even drive. And when I go to dinner with friends I get handed wine lists. I went to NYC with friends and a man asked if he could buy me a drink. People at the gym ask me how I'm liking college. The man at starbucks asked me what grad school I was attending. I look like I'm 25...

Khalif I say, milk the heck out of that. There's a lot of things you could get away with while looking like an adult.

Mel | 1820 comments I'm really small for fifteen, and there are always those people who talk condescending to me even when I'm older than them, which is extremely irritating. But that problem can usually quickly be solved when I open my mouth and start saying things...

Something like that I'm 15 and my sister is 16 and we go for walks all the time so every now and again we come across a person who thinks that Im her parent. How? I am the yougest and not nearly old enough to have a 16 year old daughter.
