What would be your Deathrow meal?

I've been watching Anthony Bourdain's show lately and it seems like he is always changing his 'deathrow meal'.

What would your last meal be?

I'd go something simple,

Capellini (the tiny spaghetti) with a plain marinara sauce (just like mama used to make it - by opening a can).

Chocolate pudding for dessert.

Black tea.

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments I think I'd go for all the stuff I love that is unhealthy, or gives me heartburn or whatever. All the foods I limit now, but really love. And eat until I'm ready to explode, because I'll no longer care that all that cholesterol is going to kill me!

Melki I'm thinking grilled salmon with mango salsa, asparagus, and some really good mashed potatoes.

Then the desserts. A few fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, a piece of carrot cake and a huge hunk of white chocolate bread pudding with warm Bailey's Irish Cream sauce.

My firing squad needs to be comprised of five incredibly good-looking bearded men. No blindfold, please.

I might add some good mashed potatoes with good gravy as well.

Maybe a good black coffee too.

And a blue Icee (just the small size though).

Can my firing squad include Sandra Bullock...and four good looking bearded men?

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) | 379 comments Melki's dinner sounds pretty good, but I want the cookies with chocolate mousse and a bowl of vanilla ice cream with home-made chocolate pudding, warm, poured over it.

Melki I forgot to mention that I shall be requiring the use of my firing squad the night BEFORE my execution...

Would that include Sandra Bullock?

I forgot to add a soup course - clam chowder would be nice, or a cheesy cream of broccoli...whatever the chef feels like cooking that fateful day.

Oh, and a nice chewy baguette too.

Melki Yeah, she can come, too. Might as well try one more thing before I die...

But there had still better be FIVE bearded men!

I'll need to work up quite an appetite for the next day's meal.

Mathew Carruthers | 72 comments Sushi as an appetizer - fresh water eel roll. French onion soup and a Caesar salad. Cevapcici with ajvar and grilled vegetables, some home-baked bread with butter and jam. For dessert - crème brulee.

That reminds me, I'll change my soup order to french onion please.

I have this fond memory of french onion soup. We were young and poor, my wife stuck with only a bag of onions and some chicken stock, made some french onion soup one night. It was very tasty, but, made our apt smell so oniony. I remember going out afterwards to buy used baby clothes (all items were under $1) b/c my wife was pregnant with our first. I can still recall that pungent smell my sweater had absorbed...mmm...oniony goodness.

Melki This might be a great time to try fugu. If it's prepared improperly and it kills you, it really won't matter, will it?

Sam (ecowitch) | 319 comments I'd want Welsh lamb cawl (stew) to start, black beef rump steak (medium-rare) and big fat sweet potato fries and my nan's apple crumble and custard. All topped off with a couple of pints of my favourite local ale, I'll be meeting my maker stuffed, drunk and happy!

Oh, I would like apple crumble for dessert too!

Michael (michaelbl) | 200 comments Plate sized steak. Baked potato swimming in butter, cheese and onions. Roasted carrots. Extra large Coke! Pint of swirl ice cream and a whole pumpkin pie. Key and weapon hidden in the ice cream and pie.

Alexandra (alexandrabree) Dim sum - the works a little bit of everything,

Mango coconut bubble tea (with the leeche because I'm picky like that)

Iced rice pudding for dessert
