Nathan "N.R." Gaddis (nathannrgaddis) | 414 comments Believe it or not ; there are lots of books which are written in the wake of The Wake. Not with that special Finneganian language but with that kind of freedom of doing stuff which was demonstrated by Finn (Mac Cool).

In The Wake Of The Wake demonstrates this thesis. Rotters such as ::
Haroldo de Campos & Augusto de Campos
Maurice Roche
Hélène Cixous
Philippe Sollers
Arno Schmidt
Christine Brooke-Rose
Samuel Beckett
Raymond Federman
John Cage
Gilbert Sorrentino
William H. Gass

Is Will Self really a post-Wake writer? In which books? Because I've not read him but I always thought of him as more Nabokovean or Martin Amis-y something... correct me if I am wrong...

Nathan "N.R." Gaddis (nathannrgaddis) | 414 comments Meanwhile, this thread should be ::

1) about the book In The Wake Of The Wake

&

2) a dumping ground for (short) lists such as Gregsamsa's in #2 & Jonathan's in #3.

Discussions of individuals , given the writer under discussion is really Wakean, etc, should be in their respective threads so I don't have to, you know, put everything back in its place with everything having a place.
