There is a sequel :D It's called Catalyst and it's coming out this year (I'M SO EXCITED)
Can't wait to find what happens next!

I guess my problem is i never really liked the main character Zel.. In fact, I liked everyone else except her ( and obviously Micah and the others). I felt like she was too naive about saving her sister. She never really thought through a logical plan so it was obvious it wouldn't work, so I didnt feel bad for her when it didnt work. (The story did have some twists though, I was shocked about the Wilbert betrayal) And I hate that Zel couldn't sleep until she saved her sister but was willing to trade Cy over, or she didnt put up much of a fight she just kinda accepted it after she took out all those ppl to save her sister... Idk it just sucks either way

I wish though that Zelia had been more logical, that way Cy might not have traded himself. That was pretty predictable..."
That's there, I guess. She should have thought the whole thing out. Guess the author has something planned?

O.O
That's too long!

i originally saw that too..then i saw a post on the authors blog that said fall 2014.. so im hoping for that!

It feels like one of those books that COULD be a standalone, but BEGS for a sequel. I'm sure once we get more and more people talking about this book, there will be one!

I hope the sequel will involve Cy coming back or at least something about what happens to him so we don't have to sit and speculate.

At first I wasn't really for this book but after a while I was just like whoa! pretty good. I really can't wait for the second book.

I am very excited for the sequel. The whole story was just great, and the world was very original. I really enjoyed the science element in the book it was a really nice surprise.
Thank you for the read-a-long guys!!! It was really fun getting to see everyone's thought and theories :)

i originally..."
that would be amazing!!!!!!

I look forward to reading the next book in the series when it comes out BECAUSE THAT ENDING!!!
CY AND ZEL!! WHEN IS THE SEQUEL COMING OUT?!? The feels. I just.... Cy.... And Micah, that jerk! hate him. Anyway, such a fantastic book. So awesome. I want another one! But, the ending.... CY and the poem.... And his beautiful speech.... Gaaaah. So beautiful. <3

One of the problems I had with it was Cy and Zel's relationship. It's not that I have a problem with them being together, it's just the fact that they act like they can't live without one another. After reading Divergent and Insurgent and seeing Tris and Four's relationship, all these relationships where they are dependent on one another just fall kind of flat for me now.
I also really didn't like the fact that Cy stopped wearing his tattoos and piercings; he shouldn't try to change himself for other people. I know Zel never outright asked him to stop wearing them, but it just had that feeling where you know he stopped for her.
I'm a huge sci fi fan, and I wished we could've learned more about the actual world/future that Zel is living in. But I don't think I would be truly satisfied no matter how much world building Lydia gave us; I'd just keep wanting more. :P
I am still standing by my theory that Marka is Zel and Dyl's real mother. I don't know why, I just have a feeling, and I know I am probably wrong, but I guess we will just have to wait and see once Catalyst is out!
I really wasn't expecting that Wilbert betrayal. I thought he was one of the characters that Zel could really trust, but I guess that in itself should've been a red flag.
But oh man, that ending. I have so many feels about this book. I cannot wait till Catalyst comes out.

I found the ending a bit confusing when Zelia is fighting in the club and then all of a sudden everything stops and they're in the office with SunAj (?). It was just really abrupt for me, but the action of those scenes was pretty cool.
One thing that really surprised me was Wilbert's betrayal! I was not expecting that at all! Kind of makes me sad because I really thought we could trust his character. But maybe this leaves room for new characters in Carus house in the sequel...?
Overall I found the book very entertaining and I'm really looking forward to seeing the characters I grew to love in the sequel!

The book isn't without flaws, but I loved the characters. I felt like the book had really good parts and then others that I was like "this again." Also, I hate it when I am too far ahead of the characters because of foreshadowing or just general obviousness. I liked the ending and it was well done, but I didn't get too upset because while the ending was heartfelt and pulled at my heart a bit, I'm pretty sure Cy and Zel will be back together in the next book.(I say that and now watch this be the 1 in 100 books where the guy and girl don't end up together in some way) Last criticism, SunAj is a little too much of a stereotype villain for my taste. Kind of like the bald man stroking a cat stereotype feel. If that last sentence makes no sense please ignore it.
Even with those flaws though, I really enjoyed the book. Like I said, I loved the character's which is most important to me. I love falling in love with secondary characters as well as the main characters and even feeling for the villains if I can, and it was really easy to do that in this book. At least for the secondary characters. I'm still suspicious that there may be something about Micah that we don't know yet that may make him seem less pathological and more turned evil by circumstance. Comments made by Zell about his reaction to some things.
All in all, I can't wait for the next book. And I mean that literally. You can not end a book like that and expect us to wait. It's just not nice.

My heart goes out to Ana and I did love how Cy said to Zel that she had two sisters now referring to not only Dyl but Ana too
So want the styling tools that Dyl had in her purse :)
What I'm interested in reading about in the next book is;
In the next book I'd love to see how Wilbert plays his part or if he doesn't show up at all!
How Zel's dad was apart of it all?
Will Zel meet her mother?
Does anyone die in the next book?
Amd Hex and Vera's relationship?!?!
