Hey There Team, I'm really excited to get playing, I just love this team challenge.
I would rather not be captain this round, so Jennifer if you want the job I have no objections :)
As for team names Crimson Book Raiders is that only one I can think of right now but I will think in it somemore

Looking forward to another round of Scavenger Hunt!
I'm fine with Jennifer being captain - I have a small oral surgery in February and might be offline a couple of days so its best if I'm not captain this time.
Team names the immediately come to mind are:
Red Hot Readers
Red Rovers
Red All Over

loves those names ladies. All I had come to mind was Scarlet Readers.
oh I should probably let you guys know that March 27 to April 4 I will going on vacation to mexico but there is WiFi at the hotel so I will be able to check in with the team while I'm gone
I like all the team names so far this could be a hard choice :)

My name is Dyllan, and I'm from Brazil, so my hours won't always match yours. I love this challenge, and I'm very excited to be playing and winning with you.
I'm totally fine with Jennifer being captain. My classes starts february, 5th and I won't have too much time to stay online.
As for names, I Like Scarlet Readers & Red Hot Readers.
How about...
*InspiRED to win
*Red Quotes
*Reading in Red
*Red Letters
*Red Reads Readers
*Cherry Red Reads
*Ruby Readers
*Redhead Readers

OK ladies we need to narrow a title down and we'll be all set. :)

Crimson Book Raiders
Red Hot Readers
Scarlet Readers
InspiRED to win

I good with whatever team name is chosen and how ever we what to pick words each week. I've done random and I've coordinated as well so both are fine with me.
I'm in the process of looking for books for some of the harder words or items.
I'm in the process of looking for books for some of the harder words or items.

I made a list of all the items and have our names by each one. Once you have claimed an item I will remove your name from beside it each week.
Our Item List is HERE
I am up for whatever strategy suits you ladies. Doesn't matter to me. What I could do is once Dawn has called the words, I can go ahead and use random.org and choose the other words for us and if you're able to find all the words we chose that's great and if not we'll just try to match up as many as we can each week like that.
I can't wait to get started! I have always loved this challenge! Go ahead and prepare for the winners circle because we're gonna rock this challenge ladies! Woohooooo!

Bonus word: Wing
I'm good with letting random.org decide and if any of us are not able to find the ones chosen then we can match up what we can.

Random.org chose the following for the rest. Let's try to coordinate as much as we can but if your book doesn't have all these words don't sweat it. The important thing is finding a book with as many words in it as possible especially the called items.
Thief, Fictional Place, Statue
Happy Reading ladies!

HERE

Unless its called at the item of the week - then we'd have to look for it again :0(
OK I just got home from work, I'll start looking for a book that has our words but I think Fictional place is going to be a tough one.... I'll see what I can find
Still not having any luck with Fictional Place :( but I did find Dog,Wing,Thief and Statue I'll just have to see what else I'll be able to find in my book for this week.
So for this week I'm going to be reading
, I picked it up for free so I'm going to give it a whirl.
Sorry I can't find Fictional place this week but I'll keep looking and hopefully get to claim it next week :)

It is up in post 2 now.

No worries, Kat. There's plenty of time still :0)

No worries at all Kat! Once you get to reading one may pop up in the book like it did mine hon. I never expected one in my book either. I got lucky about 20 pages in! (Whew)

People - Thief: (pg 196) "Eric was a thief now. He had a set of Rent-a-Fence signs."
Animals - Dog: (pg 324) "She and Rich and their shaggy little dog can nestle comfortably into the generous swing."
Misc. - Fictional Place: (pg 19) "Most nights included an open-mike period, where you could watch an aging drunk strum "Stairway to Heaven," segue into the Gilligan's Island theme, and forget the words."
Props - Statue: (pg 28) "...the entranceway was festooned with mock-ups of the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty."
Bonus - Wing: (pg 93) "At dinnertime, President Clinton held a press conference in the West Wing to discuss the attack."
Review: I knew going into Columbine it was going to be a tough read so was not at all surprised when a few times I felt tears in my eyes. Surprisingly as emotional a book as it was it was a quick read because Cullen pretty much thru his research has given as close to accurate details and time tables as possible. It was interesting and difficult at the same time to hear all the stories and interactions among the kids who survived it, their families, and friends. Not to downplay how tragic it was already but since reading Columbine, I now know how much worse it could have been had everything went forth as Eric and Dylan had planned.

That's what I'm hoping for :) I would just hate to find it then have to turn around and find it again for another weeks word call

That's what I'm hoping for :) I would just hate to find it then have to turn around and find it again for another wee..."
I was kinda worried about that at first....but then decided if nothing else I could read one of my teamies books that had already been approved for it like since Lauren's book has already been approved and it's on my TBR anyhow I could just grab it up if I had to. ;)
I tried plunderin thru the quote's listed for your book but didn't find anything to help on fictional place but it could still be one in there. That's just one we'd have to basically wait til we read the book to find out. :(
You would think it would easy to find but that is just not the case. I am finding lots for fictional character though :)
I'm half way through my book and so far I'm really loving it! but still no fictional place it may still pop up yet...fingers crossed :D

LOL @ crossed fingers. If you don't find one in it no worries sweets. Maybe you can pick it up in your next story. {{hugs}}

Book: The Wicked Deeds of Daniel Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley
Finished: Jan 27th
Rating: ★★★
Review:
Daniel, scion of the wealthy and scandalous Mackenzie family, is no stranger to beautiful women intent on snaring him for his looks and his money. But when he encounters, Violet Bastien, he knows he has met the one woman who understands him completely. Violet makes her living as a spiritualist but there are dark secrets in her past that threaten to destroy her newfound relationship with Daniel.
Jennifer Ashley’s Highland Pleasures series is truly wonderful, so it is with a heavy heart that I must give this latest installment a less that stellar rating, mainly due to the fact that Violet’s struggles with her traumatic past undermines her chemistry with Daniel to such an extent that it is virtually non-existent.
Violet is an intelligent, determined and endearing heroine, and Ashley succeeds in making her sympathetic despite the morally questionable aspects of her profession. Nevertheless, as the story progresses and more is revealed about Violet’s past, her reticence and inhibitions put a damper on her passion for Daniel. While Ashley is to be commended for dealing with darker issues in this series (particularly in Ian’s book), it fails with Violet as she is too damaged for her romance with Daniel to be believable.
Daniel’s characterization is also problematic. At the outset, he is established as an all round upstanding guy - an intelligent inventor, a loving son and brother, a gentle and caring lover. However, toward the end of the book, he undergoes a dramatic shift when he allows his heretofore unmentioned anger and instability to overcome his common sense and goes into an uncontrollable rage - huh! Where did this come from?
The suspense plot has potential but takes a back seat to Violet’s angst. The villain makes a late appearance and is so underdeveloped that he never poses any true threat. This results in a climax and resolution that feel tacked on and superfluous.
In sum, despite my love of the Mackenzies as a whole and my appreciation for the parts of the book that include their shenanigans, Daniel’s book just does not live up to expectations. The next installment shifts once again to the McBride family and I look forward to reading Sinclair’s book.
Words Claimed:
WOW: Dog - "She might be ridiculous explaining things to a dog, but she felt the need to." (Kobo reader Ch.26)
Bonus: Wing - "Violet was sure part of the machine had wings." (Kobo reader Ch.19)
People: Thief - "Violet had left him alone, ready picking for any thief." (Kobo reader Ch.7)
Misc.: Fictional Place -"there’s the Château d’If, where Dumas imprisoned poor Monte Cristo".(Kobo reader Ch.8)
Props:: Statue -"She was a graceful statue, come to life." (Kobo reader Ch.29)
Week 1: Dog & Wing
by A&E Kirk
Finished: Jan 28,2014
Rating: 5 stars
Review: Demons at Deadnight by A&E Kirk is a fantastic young adult novel about a girl named Aurora who after a brutal attack in the city where she lives is moved back to her home town in the country where she grew up as a little girl with her family, thinking that country life would be less dangerous, only to find herself in constant danger after being hunted by Demons.
Cause Aurora isn't just an ordinary girl she has a unique ability to be able locate and see what demons are planning which in return makes her a target and the only way Aurora can stay alive is to trust a group of young men who are know around town as The Hex Boys.
I just loved this book! the characters where wonderful and I loved the smart mouth humor between Aurora and her boys, which there are six of them. Twins Ayden and Jayden, Blake, Logan, Matthias and Tristan all with their own unique personalities that just makes you love each one of them.
A&E Kirk has painted a vivid picture of this world through their writing and the imagery brought about by their words was fantastic. It's been quite a while since I read a book that has captured my imagination like this one has and from what I've read this is going to be an author to watch out for, and I for one will be eagerly awaiting book two's release in July.
Items Claimed:
Dog: A dog, one of those tiny,foo-foo things, scampered out on stubby legs...pg 4
Wing: massive wings snapped out of her back with lightning speed...pg 111
Thief: would she be proud to know she raised a thief?...pg 68
Statue: he wandered around refilling chunks of missing stone, mending cracks and putting statues and stained glass back together...pg 326
Nudity: their half-naked bodies shimmered wet and impressive. Blake's barrel chest, Matthias' broad shoulders...pg 179

Great review Lauren! I'm sorry it was not as good as expected for you though. I hate when that happens in a series. :(
Kat I am so thrilled you enjoyed your book. It has been on my TBR for a while but just haven't made my way to it yet. Maybe since reading your review I will bump it up a bit!

Oh No that's terrible, I hope she's doing OK. Sending thoughts and prayers her way :(
