Arggghh, I'll just have to eagerly wait for the next Sookie book and for DVD of season two of True Blood... Looking forward to both!!

I think Look Again will be worth the wait. I really like Lisa Scottoline's style of writing.
As a couple of other people have reviewed, the mc does have a few "too stupid to live" moments, but the premise of the story is can't put down.

They need to read faster and even with the too stupid to live moments, the book leaves you with a lot to think about,
I wonder what I would do in her shoes?

Re Look Again and what would I have done in the mc's shoes?
I really wonder about that too, and frankly have no idea. That is not the kind of decision you want to ever have to make.

Indridason, Arnaldur The Draining Lake read 6/9/2009 9 of 10 translated from Icelandic
McGarrity, Michael Dead or Alive read 6/13/2009 7 of 10
Harris, Charlaine Dead and Gone read 6/6/2009 9+ of 10 non stop trouble for Sookie
Barr, Nevada Borderline read 6/22/2009 9+ of 10
Scottoline, Lisa Look Again read 6/23/2009 Audio 9+ of 10
Child, Lee Gone Tomorrow read 6/29/2009 9 of 10
Gone Tomorrow was hard to put down with non stop action, trademark high body counts and Reacher's unwavering commitment to uncover the truth and protect and serve his country no matter that he is retired and everyone else would have long given up.
Look Again was fast paced, with Scottoline's trademark style and touches of humor - this is a highly emotional tale with twists and turns and hard to put down.
Borderline The park in this book is not Anna's. She is on vacation, and with Paul; something we have not seen much of in previous books, even since their marriage.
Dead or Alive I have very mixed feelings about this one. I know Dan liked it enough to say that McGarrity may have rebounded a bit after a slow decline, but I couldn't stand reading the segments from the pov of the bad guy. (he was extremely bad) I am not, as a rule, averse to reading about violent acts, but this guy made me sick.
Dead and Gone I have a slightly different outlook on the Sookie books after watching the first season of HBO's True Blood and having new pictures of the characters in my head!
The Draining Lake is a thought provoking book, translated from Icelandic and set in East Germany in the late 50's and 60's and in contemporary Iceland. It was a different sort of mystery and police procedural. [close:]
