I'm up to the bit where Kacey is in the laundromat.
(view spoiler)[Kacey assumes the worst of a guy who comes down to do his washing and thinks he's checking her out (her uncle + car crash event which makes her traumatised in holding someone's hand), which I understand. But it seems like a 180 degree turn when she meets the guy's eyes. Everything disappears and she's suddenly feeling vulnerable? It's like her way of communicating if the guy is good looking, he can't be a creep. (hide spoiler)]

Her next door neighbour 'Storm' is generally nice and friendly and tries to help out Kacey's situation by helping her get a job at the club she works at. Kacey just can't seem to get over the fact that Storm's boobs are humongous and so very fake.

When she's down at the laundromat and sees Trent again, she curses that he's a player (after they have this intense nearly-making-out session) and assumes he's has 'a string of fuck buddies'. Kacey constantly talks about how shes tough and doesn't put up with anyone in this gym she used to work out at (she's makes it sound like they ALL make degrading comments and their primary goal is to do her in the showers) but JUST two meetings with Trent (who checks her body every single time just like anyone in that freaking gym!) is enough to get her hot and sweaty for him and make her think of doing all sorts of things to him...?!?! When he leaves, her thought process goes straight to Storm's big boobs and how the 'Sweet Stripper Barbie' will surely attract him!

Wow that bathroom snake scene was unexpected. Kind of unrealistic if you ask me. If you see your sister practically naked with a man, do you leave the room to get help to remove the snake from the bathroom? Apparently that's what Livey does because Kacey reveals he's their next door neighbour (who's practically a stranger!) Trent and Kacey get physical then and there. Steamy but they're practically strangers!

One night at the club she works, Kacey decides that she'll feel safe with Trent's hands in hers when she feels terrified of shaking hands with new people she's met? He didn't even have to earn the trust?!?! I don't understand! Trent seems to know something about Kacey? (hide spoiler)]

60% (view spoiler)[Could it be that Trent was the surviving passenger in the other car of people who crashed into the car Kacey was in? He's got a scar, the tattoo on his back about forgiveness and he's urging Kasey to speak about her accident... I'm really curious about this part of the story line.

On the other hand, I'm still not warming up to Kasey. She talks like all other humans are trash. She constantly talks trash about her workplace (like she's too good to be working at a bar. Hello? What other job choices do you have you ungrateful %^$#!) and every woman she meets is slutty/competition and anyone who gets close to Trent she wants to pull their limbs off. Ugh ugh ugh. The way I see it is Kasey thinks she's better than everyone else. All Kasey thinks about is jumping Trent's bones or noticing how people stare at her or Storm's assets. So shallow!! (hide spoiler)]

That's no good. Is the end something that can be fixed in the next books in the series?

All the loose ends were tied up in the ending I think. It's mainly Kacey's actions and thoughts throughout the whole book which annoy me. She's such an overall bitch and hypocrite. :(

I think that's about right. She never seems to get over that.

I don't remember being impressed either. the second book was so much better than this one because it wasn't about Kacey.

I like that it's more mature than YA.. I'm kinda coming around about Trent. He seems good for Kacey.. Someone needs to make her talk to someone

Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[ I'm really not loving how Kacey talks about sex, kinda unhealthy.

I guess I was wrong about the rest of the series and it's about other characters, because this book has a very clear ending.
Even if it was predictable, I liked it.

Finished (view spoiler)[I really enjoyed this book. The romance is great and I'm glad the conflicts are resolved. I like their character development and I didn't expect that twist... Trent = Cole (i knew he was part of it but I didn't expect he used a different name) (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 3 (view spoiler)[ Holy crap, Batman! The sexual tension is high. Storm seems genuinely nice and I'm waiting for Kacey to sustain her degree of warmness for more than 2 seconds. The whole cold routine is getting a bit trying. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10 (view spoiler)[ Dependence sounds about right. Kacey seems to be exhibiting this towards Trent and it's kind of worrying. I feel like he's keeping a secret and when it comes out she'll be that much more devastated because of it. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 12 (view spoiler)[Hmm, I can't help but be suspicious of Trent because that's just the way these books usually go. Why is he so adamant about her getting help? And when she asks about the job, his answer sounds vague. (hide spoiler)]

This is a very plausible theory, the more I think about it, it makes sense. I know there must be a secret he's hiding though.

From the beginning I knew that the book would end with Trent and Kacey together, but after reading all he has done just to be close to her, I can't be on board with the relationship. I don't even classify what they had, before Kacey found out who he really was, to be a true relationship anyway. It was an ok read for me. (hide spoiler)]
