Werner Joy, if you click on the "Discussions" link near the top of the page, that will take you to a list that has an "edit folders" link (among others) at the top. From there, you can change folder names, and delete or add folders. (You can also move individual topic threads from one folder to another if you click on the small "edit" link that appears after the title of each topic on its own page.) You can't do all of that with one click, though; each of those actions has to be done separately. :-(

Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments Thank, Werner. Yes, I've had experience with editing the folders. But, as far as I can see, the only way to collapse the folders is one by one, by clicking on the arrow to the left of the folder's name. When the folder is open, the arrow points down. When the folder is closed, the arrow points to the right.

There doesn't seem to be a way of collapsing the folders with one click. At the newsgroups (also known as Usenet groups) there's an option to do that.

Below are a links to a couple of newsgroup servers:
http://www.albasani.net/index.html.en
http://news.datemas.de/
I use both. They are in the lineup of folders in my mail program.

Newsgroups probably aren't as popular nowadays as they once were since now we have many other forum options online (like goodreads!) as well as Facebook.
