Week 2-Memories

One of the first memories I have was fighting
My parents were yelling as I was writing
They would yell and scream and swear real bad
I would hide in the corner, with my writing pad
Then one day I woke up and dad was gone
My mom, sister and I were all alone
He still used to call, and talk to my mother
He didn't want to talk to any other
They'd swear at each other down the phone
I felt as cold as ice and hard as stone
My heart would sink as they said goodbye
I tried to quiet my sister as she used to cry
But I'd learn to get through all the fighting at night
My friends and school would tell me everything's alright
But at the time I wouldn't believe them, things were just so unbearable
I look back at it now and all I see is terrible
But life turned out to be okay
And that's all that matters at the end of the day
FINE MEMORIES
We'll walk on the sand
Till our feet turn numb
And swim in the sun
Till our hearts roar like a wave
We'll gather sea shells to save
Like fine memories
Worries will be washed away in the waves
And carried out to sea
Leaving only
Fine memories
Our burdened hearts will be no more
Like the dinosaurs that once walked here But walk no more
Saving only
Fine memories
Let the story's we hear here be kept in our hearts
Becoming fine memories
We'll walk on the sand
Till our feet turn numb
And swim in the sun
Till our hearts roar like a wave
We'll gather sea shells to save
Like fine memories
Worries will be washed away in the waves
And carried out to sea
Leaving only
Fine memories
Our burdened hearts will be no more
Like the dinosaurs that once walked here But walk no more
Saving only
Fine memories
Let the story's we hear here be kept in our hearts
Becoming fine memories

Haha, yeah, I'm not very good at poetry. Just thought I'd try it. I should probably stick to short stories!!!

I cried and cried when I heard,
That you would be entering into the world.
But those were not tears of joy,
Nor happiness at my parent's ploy,
To make me happy at your birth,
No, my tears were filled with mirth.
An anger at the world so large,
How into my life you would barge,
To create turmoil and unrest,
To push me into second best.
I was always the firstborn child,
Then you came and things went wild,
But looking back, now I see,
You were meant to belong with me.

This Moment
Please
don’t forget this moment.
I know
that to you it was torment.
Just forget
the hell that we once endeavored
and forgive me
for letting our friendship be severed.
Though what we once shared
was a great beautiful imperfection
what you thought was true love
was only desperation and dark tension.
And I am sorry,
I didn’t mean for it to go so far.
What can I do,
but just hope and wish upon a star
that I didn’t
hurt you, and our lives were alright.
Its soon
but I have to say goodnight.
Please
just forget this moment.
Time of Stars
Across the sky,
The velvet blue night.
No moon around,
But still there is light.
The wind howls,
But still you look forth.
Flickering white,
And lights of the north.
To define the stars,
Is an impossible thing.
For the stars that shine,
And the stars that sing.
The stars that light.
For persisting nocturne.
The ones that burst,
To never return.
The first time,
You see a star,
There is nothing greater,
Nothing by far.
They light fills your eyes,
With shining wonder.
A beautiful sight.
Before your slumber.
The stars are away,
But still we can see,
All that they are,
All they will be.
The grandest thing,
To ever see.
Has now been witnessed,
By you and me.
Across the sky,
The velvet blue night.
No moon around,
But still there is light.
The wind howls,
But still you look forth.
Flickering white,
And lights of the north.
To define the stars,
Is an impossible thing.
For the stars that shine,
And the stars that sing.

Daddy say hello to your little girl, the one you left behind.
My childhood is over now, yet there’s so much more to find.
I no longer hide inside the closet or color on the walls,
I prefer wine over a juice box and I don’t have tea with dolls.
Do you remember when you chased me down the road into the street?
The moment when you caught me you said you wouldn’t ever be beat.
Then we laughed and laughed for hours, until the day transformed to night
but weeks later the army took you and you left to go and fight.
Except daddy, they did beat you, and it was death that won your war;
it was then that I wondered what I was truly living for.
I tried to move on daddy, but my loneliness consumed me
and soon enough everyone was telling me who I had to be.
Then they all called me a slut and a whore that’s not worth their time;
only the bloody scars on my wrists were the secrets that were mine.
Now I’m losing the infinite battle of hardships in life,
though life was beautiful with you daddy, now it’s full of strife.
So in memory of the old times, I’ll grab your hand once again
because if you still remember, you were my only true friend.
And soon I will join you in death; murdered by my own scarred hand
and then we will fight battles together, just like we once had planned.

When I think about a memory
I just hope that you'll remember me.
I don't think about pain
When I remember the rain.
You were the best and worst
The feared and the cursed.
You brought out the best of me
Once you saw what I was
I was angry because
You turned and you let me be.

You were my angel
You we my savior
I was your charge
I wasn't just labor
Where are you now
When I need you the most?
You promised me always
And now you're a ghost
I miss you my angel
I miss you a lot
I remembered out meeting
But it seems that you forgot
I'll wait for you still
Until the end of days
I just hope
You won't forget the way
