I read this book recently and liked it very much and had a feeling that i should have got hold of it when i was 15, I would like to recommend it to my cousins who are 14 & 15 studying in India. Do you think that this book has any good/bad impact?. I guess if any it should have a overwhelming positive impact.

This book is an ode to preparation. No one is better than a teenager to read this.

Calvin I agree with Igor, absolutely, if anyone should read this it is a teenager. Nothing like being prepared, whether it is space travel or life.

I would think that it would be totally appropriate. It definitely contains an inspiring story. My only concern would be that the parts of the book written from a fatherly/husband perspective by the author would not resonate with a 14-year old and they may lose interest at these parts.

Definitely. I would like my sons to read it when they are a bit older.
The book is both inspiring and fun to read.

Definitely. I bought it for my 21 year old grandson.

Yes without a doubt - I wanted my 12 year old to read it but it is only available on a one week loan at present and the library wanted it back.

It may be above him at present (my son) but he'd love the technical stuff and when he's older he could come back for it for the team/self development related aspects.

Well, why not? Technically speaking the language isn't all that difficult, and the impact will definitely be very good. Definitely an eye-opener, especially for young minds, this could be a trigger for their exploration in everything, whether it be things in daily life or even explorations just the way Chris Hadfield had done! :D. Do recommend it!

It could be very inspirational for a teenager...about setting goals, overcoming setbacks, achieving your dreams and the importance of being prepared, not to mention what it is like in space.

Yes!

Yessss!

Yes! Get the audio version. Hearing Hadfield's words in his own voice can't be beat.
