Annie | 2 comments My name is Annie, and I want to read more. I am hoping that engaging with others about reading and books will help with that. I find myself overwhelmed by both my reading interests and the selection of books available, so I am looking forward to being forced* to read something instead of wandering aimlessly around the bookstore before leaving empty-handed.

I live in Northern California, and I tend to like reading about dystopian societies and fantasy worlds. I also dig all kinds of non-fiction about people, popular culture, history, biology, politics, and all that good shit.

Let's do this.

*I realize no one is forcing me to do anything.

Hello Annie from another Annie!

I know what you mean about being overwhelm by book choices! So many books so little time!

Are you taking a peek at our February's book of the month? It's The Handmaid's Tale, by Atwood. A dystopian classic mentioned again and again in many lit lists, colleges, and high schools.

Do you have any reading goals for 2014?

We have a thread going on here talking about. I haven't kept up with mine. I also better get to it!

Welcome to our group once again!

Annie | 2 comments Thanks for the warm welcome, guys!

I started reading it last week, but I have admittedly fallen behind (I keep forgetting my Kindle). I am hoping to catch up during this 3-day weekend.

I will think about some reading goals for 2014 and post them on the other thread. I appreciate the push!
