I feel like the statement represents ignorance. It sort of shows how you pretend not to notice the truth and that maybe it'll go away. I feel like this is a statement that represents Adam very well. I feel like his truth is that he doesn't love Juliette as much as he believes he does. I feel as if he is pretending that things will work out and he'll be with her in the end when honestly that isn't the case.
It is obvious that he puts other people as Priority #1 rather than Juliette. Juliette deserves someone such as Warner who will make room for her as Priority #1 instead of shoving her in 2nd or 3rd place.

@Isabelle: I love your explanation - and I have to agree, that the statement does represent Adam in a variety of ways.
The question to think about is:
"Our eyes blur the truth when we can't bear to see it."
How true do you think this statement is? Make reference to the series.
Please feel free to extend the discussion beyond the questions (which are there as a topic-starter!) and simply talk about the book as well :D
